“First Time, Best Time”

We went to Savannah last year on our anniversary and stayed at Olde Harbor Inn. We did not know anything about Savannah so I went online looking for hotels. I found Olde Harbor Inn and what drew me to it was because it said it was the most haunted inn in Savannah. I am glad it did. Our stay was awesome. The rooms were great, the staff was awesome and it was right on River Street. We had the balcony room and we could see everything going on on River Street. We are coming back on our anniversary again this year and we alredy have our room reserved. GREAT INN.

Room Tip: The room with the balcony is the best.

The location of the Olde Harbour Inn is fantastic, only a short walk to the river. In addition, there are many attractions nearby with the downtown city area a few blocks away. We attended an event at the convention center across the river. A major benefit was the ferry service had a stop nearby the hotel.

The property is an old building that was remodeled. During our stay, it appeared much of the work in the section our group was staying had been recently completed. There was the smell of paint and wood stain drying. The rooms are decent, not amazing. Also, the floors are wooden and squeaked, not extremely noisy, be aware if you are a light sleeper.

Finally, the staff was nice and willing to assist. There were some issues with reservations and consistency with booking for our group. One of the reservations was incorrect and created a booking issue for one member in our party. The staff was willing to help find another property and assist with the reservation. It appeared there may have been new staff members or the training wasn't thorough enough to cover the reservation system.

Location right on the river is perfect, but just know that you will hear some traffic (motor and foot), but it never lasted very long into the night. The room - WOW! Bigger than my first apartment! The wood floors were charmingly squeaky (I hope the downstairs folks weren't disturbed). Complimentary Klondike bars and the wine/cheese each evening was so very nice! The only complaint I have is that in our room the a/c was a little weak in the bedroom. I would also suggest some toss pillows for the living room furniture and some extra pillows for the bed. Otherwise, our stay was absolutely wonderful! The breakfast was excellent (and it's included!!). Very much recommend this lovely inn.

Room Tip: Parking will cost you - we paid $12 for 48 hours, and the lot right in front of the hotel was full...

Cancellation policy is unreasonable. I was traveling to Florida and planned to visit my son and his wife and had to postpone due to problems with the floors in my Florida house being built. They should allow clients to bank and move the room fee to a future stay. The desk clerk was totally mute in my situation and just said my son could use the room. Fine BUT they already have a perfectly nice home in Savannah. I will return to Savannah many many times over the years but this hotel will never be on my list because, while their reservation policy apparently was not a secret, I didn't even realize a hotel would operate this way. Plans change!

The Olde Harbour Inn has a great location on River Street, venerable oak trees grace the front lawn and the staff is friendly. Overall, the inn possesses a lovely, though slightly tarnished charm. Unfortunately, our visit to the inn on April 22nd was marred by a musty odor in our room--#303. We subsequently learned that this room is in the pet-friendly section of the inn. We are sorry to say that Erika was not very helpful to us. She offered to have the rugs cleaned in the room, but cautioned that if we opted for this, the rugs would remain wet during our stay. She was not able to move us to another room, she said, as the inn was fully booked. We certainly would have better appreciated our stay at this inn if we had been able to enjoy a clean smelling room. Be certain to request a room that is not in the pet-friendly area when making a reservation.

We stayed Friday and Saturday. We had a 2 bedroom ( 1 bedroom and loft). Was very nice. They have a nice breakfast in the am. Wine and cheese at night. Right on river road. A lot of restaurants and stuff to do. Savannah very nice even though it rained a lot. Would recommend.

We booked this hotel quite short in advance, and we weren't sure how much we would get for our 150 dollars per night. Turns out that it was more than we could wish for! Our room was amazing, apartment size, with own kitchen and very comfortable bed with tons of fluffy pillows:) The staff is awesome and does everything to make you comfortable, all with a big smile. They provide complentary afternoon wine and cheese, which was a nice surprise, great way to start the night! Clean, very petfriendly (we brought our dog, no problem and lots of room for him), located right on River Street (that street itself is not my favorite but the location is, you walk straight into the historic district). Definitely recommended!
