My wife and I stayed in the Green Palm Inn for two nights and found it to be one of the best B&B's we have ever experienced. The innkeeper Diane is a gracious hostess and the breakfasts were both ample and tasty. Wine and freshly prepared snacks are available every day from 4 to 6 and guests are invited to enjoy the wine at any hour. The location is excellent,
within walking distance of all the sights of Savannah.
All in all, a wonderful experience!

Second time staying at the Green Palm Inn. Stayed March 29, 2014, till April 4, 2014. If you want to be treated like royalty, stay at the Green Palm Inn. Diane and her staff treated me and my family so wonderfully. From the welcome, to the beautiful bedrooms, to the amazing breakfasts, and then the wine and appetizer hour, our stay was one of the best vacations we have ever had. We all loved our stay and would not ever stay anywhere else on future visits to Savannah. Thank you so much, Diane.

Room Tip: Every room was beautiful. The two front rooms are the larger of the four.

I am only sorry that I can only award 5 stars to this peach of a B&B. From the moment we were welcomed by Cheryl after a long drive and given a glass of wine and goodies while she patiently wrote out directions on a map as to where to go and what to see until now when we are on the point of leaving the stay has been first class. The two ladies, Dianne and Cheryl are the most marvelous hostesses with a wealth of knowledge of Savannah and its environs. The room is great, big ,and with a huge bed that does require steps to get up to it.
The breakfasts are great, all made by Dianne and are to die for.Refreshments at 4 with red or white wine and savoury goodies made by Cheryl.
All in all, thus place takes some beating as a B&B but mostly for Dianne and Cheryl. Two sweeter and more efficient ladies would be very hard to find anywhere.

Thank you both once again.

Room Tip: They are all great.

We were a group of four couples who "took over" the Green Palm Inn for four nights in late March 2014.

We spent a lot of time chatting in the comfortable parlor, where Diane and/or Cheryl served tasty sweets and appetizers, and copious wine and iced tea. Having wine in late afternoon before going to restaurants was an enormous money saver for our group as no one felt the need to order wine with our meals.

Delicious breakfasts were served, for six of us, at the dining table, and for 2 of us at a smaller game table in the parlor. One couple was gluten-free and Diane provided great food for them and clearly indicated which options were gluten-free.

The rooms were comfortable, with silky sheets. Everything was spotlessly clean. Excellent noise separation between rooms, and between floors.

The location is quite good: walking distance to everything. The house sits 8 or so steps up from the street, and the bedrooms are a flight up from the main rooms. Typical of older houses, but a point to consider if you have any physical limitations.

We enjoyed our stay at Green Palm Inn and I would definitely return if my travels take me back to Savannah.

Room Tip: We had one of the smaller rooms; in retrospect, I'd choose a larger room because there's mor...

We stayed here in March, 2014. Our experience was almost perfect, with a couple of "fyi's".

The inn itself is beautiful. We stayed in the Sabal Palm suite, which is large, with a comfortable seating area with couch and chairs, a large, firm, comfortable bed, and nice furnishings. The bath is fine, in particular plenty of hot water, etc. etc.

Downstairs is a large sitting area in the living room, and a separate dining room. Each day, the innkeeper, Diane, and her staff prepare lovely, tasty hors d'oeuvres and sweets, and pour both red and white wine. It is a lovely place to sit and chat. In the morning, they prepare a beautiful breakfast, everything you could possibly expect from a high-end B&B.

We were traveling in a group, and Diane was tireless and flawless in dealing with the special requests from some of our members. To be honest, I would have lost patience, but Diane did everything you could possibly expect to make our stay perfect.

I struggle with whether to even write the following caveats, but if TripAdvisor reviews are going to be useful, they need to be accurate. I am a very light sleeper, so I need a room that is quiet, much more so than the average person. The location of the inn is such that there is definitely perceptible road noise, even with all windows closed. Also, the layout of the heat and a/c controls is such that there is one thermostat for the entire upstairs. Our room would have periods where it was very hot, while our companions in another room were too cold at the same time. Such is the nature of staying in a B&B constructed in 1890 (although, obviously, renovated several times since then). So, for me, the grim reality was that in 4 nights, I never got a good night's sleep.

In summary, if you are an average or better sleeper, then I think you will find the Green Palm Inn to be everything you could possibly hope for. If you are a very light sleeper, then I suspect that you won't have the best night sleep of your entire life. Whether this outweighs the other parts of the experience, which are exceptional, is up to you.

The Green Palm is absolutely the best B&B we have ever visited. Carol, is not only a marvelous cook, she is truly a caring, knowledgeable innkeeper who wants your stay to be perfect...and it was. Her home is lovely, spotless and in a perfect location. She adds the extra touches like bottle water in your room's refrigerator. If you want to experience the best of Savannah, plan ahead and stay at the Green Palm Bed and Breakfast.

Room Tip: If staying more than a night or two, book the larger rooms.

Loved, loved, loved everything about the Green Palm Inn! We stayed in the Royal Palm Suite and it was just gorgeous. The breakfasts and afternoon appetizers were amazing and Diane and Cheryl were so warm and welcoming. This B & B felt like home, we can't wait to go back! We met some people from Florida who have visited 3 times in one year and I can see why. Absolutely lovely in every way, we felt like royalty!

Room Tip: Every room is beautiful!
