Both the Green Palm Inn and Savannah were more enjoyable than we expected. Our B&B experience is what one should hope for and the location was excellent, being close to all the attractions, but out of the traffic of the city. Both Diane and the breakfasts were wonderful and we enjoyed the Spring flowers, although they were late due to the cool weather this year. Parking just behind the Inn was convenient and safe and the city is a walker's delight. We enjoyed the music festival as well as the homes and gardens and walking the river.

We are late writing this review. It's been about two years since we stayed there but recently we directed friends to stay there, too, and they confirmed everything we had experienced. Instead of staying in the actual B&B, we rented their small house nearby. It was two bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths, a full kitchen and elegant living quarters overlooking the square. To say the place was clean comfortable and convenient is an understatement. We walked everywhere, were allowed to have a (very well behaved, small and non-shedding) pet along, and cooked our own meals. We thought good business should be rewarded, so finally looked into writing a review that would reflect our satisfaction.

Green Palm Inn does what few B & Bs are able to do--combine top-notch professionalism with warmth. Diane, Tammy, and Elizabeth and helpful and friendly and the amenities of the Inn are perfect. Very nice breakfast, afternoon wine and snacks, free Wi-Fi and parking, and good maps and books of local interest. Both the public and private spaces are spotless, aesthetic, and comfortable. Great location too--in the historic district and also near main connector roads. Our stay was in conjunction with a conference at the Hyatt. Those who stayed at the Hyatt were jealous of the location, amenities, and price of Green Palm Inn.

Diane and the staff made our visit a great experience. The recommendations they made were great and the inn was one of the best we have ever visited.

My husband, my 11 year old son and I decided to go to Savannah for a much deserved break for all of us over Thanksgiving weekend. I wanted to stay in the historic district, if possible, and thought a bed and breakfast would be great, but wasn't sure if that would be possible with a "tweenager." After reading all the great reviews of the Green Palm Inn on Trip Advisor and seeing that there was one room that could sleep 3 people, I emailed Diane to ask if the room was available. She was very gracious and said that our son would be welcome there.

We stayed in the Royal Palm Suite and it was perfect! It was more spacious than the pictures can give a true depiction of. The daybed was truly a twin size and fit my son on there just fine. The room also had a small refrigerator, which came in very handy throughout our stay. The bathroom was really nice and had a large whirlpool tub in it and a gas fireplace, which we used since it was unusually cold in Savannah that weekend. The room also had a fireplace with candles in it, but it was not really for heating up the room. But, despite the cold weather, the temperature in our room was always very comfortable and there was plenty of extra blankets. There was also a sitting area with a small writing desk, a large closet area and a good size tv that we could all see no matter where we were (except the bathroom, of course.)

There were all sorts of special touches throughout our stay. The bathroom had nice bath products to use, the towels were super soft and smelled really good, and the snacks were around all day long and were all homemade and yummy. The cranberry white chocolate chip cookies were to die for! They also had water bottles at the ready that you could take with you when going out or up to your room. The sitting area and dining area were lovely and we had a great time getting to know all the different people who were also staying there that weekend. Diane cooked a great, hearty breakfast every morning that could fill you up until dinnertime! There were all sorts of books and magazines you could browse through and Diane had a book with all sorts of menus in it that really helped us out.

Diane and Tammy were wonderful! They could not have been any nicer and more helpful than they were! My son thought Tammy was the greatest. I can't pinpoint exactly what is was about them other than that they were just genuinely friendly; not fake friendly.

The Inn itself was super convenient to everything we wanted to do and we never had to use our car once to go do what we wanted to do. Coming from Atlanta, we all really enjoyed being able to walk everywhere! We would all stay here again and when my husband gives a place the thumbs up, then you know you have a winner!
