“New property near the historic district and river”
Reviewed 17 June 2013

My wife and i stayed here for our anniversary. Nice rooms with usual Springhill items, fridget/coffemaker etc. Love the seperate room for shower from toilet. Enjoy wash basins in seperate rooms so my wife could get ready in one while I was using the other. Great large shower with excellent pressure. Easy walk to the river and historic homes. Purchased Old Savannah tour from concierge in lobby and saved $5 plus recieved two days for the same price.

We stayed at the SpringHill Suites on Montgomery on June 6. There were 5 girls that stayed here for our annual "Girls Trip." We only had one night here but we made the most of it especially since it rained all day due to Tropical Storm Andrea. We all had a place to comfortably sleep - 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. This had a separate toilet area with a sink and another area with a bathtub/shower and sink - perfect for 5 women getting dressed. The only complaint is the lighting in the bathroom. We were within walking distance to everything. Worth the value - they also provide breakfast in the morning. I would highly recommend staying here.

Booked this hotel for the location and for Marriots' reputation, and I was not disappointed. I checked in three hours before the regular check in time and my room was ready and clean. The location is perfect for walking around the historic section of Savannah. I would recommend this hotel with no restrictions.

This hotel is in a perfect spot. We walked everywhere. Loved it! Most hotels in this area don't fit a larger family. This hotel has great rooms for families. We enjoyed our stay and our room. Wouldn't hesitate to book.

Traveled with my three grandchildren, ages 5,4,2. The entire staff was courteous, helpful, and gave you the impression they were there everyday to attend to your every need. Breakfast was hot and good. Rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely appointed. The kids loved the pool. It wasn't too crowded and the water sparkled. It was very well maintained as well as was the entire hotel. We chose the valet parking and they were quite attentive each time we pulled up to unload. Right in the historic district and close to everything we wanted to do.

The location cannot be beat! You can walk everywhere. After walking around the hot, humid city, coming back for an ice cold cup of citrus water provided free by the hotel defines refreshing. The rooms are large and modern, very comfortable. Only one complaint, one of the two elevators stopped working on Saturday and Sunday. It was a very busy weekend with SCAD graduation and warranted an emergency weekend house call. Otherwise, no issues and a place to be visited again and again.

Thank you for your review! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed our location and property. We do apologize for the broken elevator. A call was made immediately however, the company could not fix the elevator until Monday morning. We do apologize for any inconvenience this caused you during your stay. We look forward to hosting you in Savannah again soon.

We weren't sure when looking at the map of Savannah if the Springhill Suites would be a good location, so we didn't book until we actually arrived. Turns out the location is perfect. Just one block away from the main shopping/boutique street which also has some nice restaurants, and just a few blocks from the historic waterfront. In the other direction are some beautiful walks through the various squares and residential districts of Savannah. Room was large and had a view out to the street but wasn't noisy that we found. Shower and toilet are in separate spaces, which is a slightly more European configuration, but we found it to be OK. Parking is at a premium and you can either valet park with the hotel for 20 bucks a night, park for free on the street out front if it's a Sunday, or there is a parkade around the corner which is around 12 bucks for 24 hours. So you could unload your luggage in front of the hotel and then pop the car around the corner to the parkade if you wanted to save some money and self-park. All in all a nice property and we'd stay again.
