This hotel has a great location. The rooms are modern and spacious. The toilet and shower are in separate rooms which was nice because I could shave in the bathroom mirror while my wife used the mirror in the shower and we weren't in each others way. Hotel was quiet, we were on the third floor.

Staff was very pleasant, concierge very helpful. They could have used one more person at check in as there was only one lady and we noticed just after we checked in it got very busy.

Breakfast was fine with fresh scrambled eggs with sausage, cereal, fruit, all the basics.

Great find right in the historic district (we used their valet parking at the hotel for $20.00 inside and secure) Hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient. The complimentary breakfast was hearty and delicious. Would definietly return to this hotel. We were two women friends traveling together and would have preferred two beds, but the king bed option was cheaper so we went with it. We took a narrated trolley tour of the historic area with Ogelthorpe Tours, ask for AARP or AAA discount we got $2.00 per person off. The driver was funny and informative. Unfortunately it poured down rain all day, so we opted not to hop on and off to visit the various historic homes open for view. We did visit the Market place, a pedestrian only shopping and restaurant area about a block from the river, and sampled some delicious pralines. Included in your tour ticket, Ogelthorpe will pick you up and designated bus stops and take you back to the springhill suites until 530pm. Ogelthorpe had an option for a discounted evening Ghost Tour in conjunction with buying the trolley tour, but opted out due to the rain. We did venture back to the Riverfront that evening for a great seafood dinner at Tubby's. We drove back and luckily found a parking spot in the small parking lot right on Front Street. It's chancy but our prayers were answered. Savannah was a real treat i will return.

Room Tip: We were two female friends traveling together but it was cheaper to book a king size bed, so we made...

The hotel is located very close to the historic district, but far enough away to avoid the traffic and noise. Rooms are modern and have an unusual design. There is a sitting area with desk, sofa and table, microwave and refrigerator. A partition separates this area from the sleeping area which also has an enclosed closet. A flat panel t.v. is centered opposite the partition, so by rotating it, it can be viewed either from the bed, or the sofa in the sitting area. Most unusual are two bathrooms, one with toilet and basin, and the other with vanity unit and stall shower (no tub).
The bed had individual spotlight type reading lights. Mattress was very soft. Room climate control had digital settings and was quite noisy when operating. Air was drawn from outside. Window does not open. There was some noise from plumbing in adjacent units. Lighting in the room was excellent. Free Wi-Fi in the room. Overall, the room was clean and in excellent condition.

Breakfast was typical Marriott fare. Quite adequate but nothing exceptional.

Front desk was woefully understaffed when we arrived (10 pm on a Sunday evening). The one person on duty had to answer the phones, handle customer inquiries and check in multiple arrivals. The ensuing chaos left a very bad impression.

Spotless room, and spacious, the photos were accurate. Large sofa with desk, modern coffee table and tv inside door. Then two white beds and two bathrooms, toilet and sink behind sliding door, then closet, then shower and sink behind another sliding door. Breakfast was fully stocked continental with scrambled eggs and sausage and make your own waffles. Perfect as we soho south cafe booked for brunch later. Front desk staff and concierge were the friendliest I have encountered in a while.

We were not that familiar with Savannah, but knew we wanted to be within walking distance of waterfront and restaurants. This hotel is a great location. The check-in process was seamless. We asked for a room at a quiet end of the hotel and got it. Worth it, but a long walk from the elevator. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, soft sheets, very chic layout. We will definitely return when in Savannah again!

We were booked at the Marriott by the water and once we realized it was a HIKE to the historic district (we had stayed there before), we switched to here. I was a bit nervous, but I was very very pleased with our decision. Comfortable rooms, great location, wonderful staff. Oh, great workout room.

Breakfast leaves something to be desired - carb heavy and not healthy at all. Sausage was 2nd rate.
However, I would return.

This was a perfect location for walking around the Historic District. Easy walk to the twaterfront, Savannah Theater (fun show!), A Taste of Savannah walking tour, great restaurants. I and my friend felt safe walking in this area after dark. Hotel was clean and bright. Our room faced Oglethorpe Street with its flowering trees. Breakfast was great, even had scrambled eggs & sausages and cut up fruit. Front desk & Concierge were always helpful with restaurant suggestions/reservations.
