We stayed here when we were in town for a 5k that attracts a fair amount of runners from out of town. The staff did a good job of accomodating everyone that was there for the event. The property is in a good location neat the historic district, so you can walk to many of the places you want to visit. The room was shaped a little oddly - the TV was in the living room area of the room, and you had to turn it sharply to see it from the bed and part of it was obscured by the hutch. However, we weren't here to stay in the room, so it wasn't a big issue. Overall, a clean, affordable hotel with good staff in a good location.

My family and I traveled to Savannah, Ga. for a get-a-away for about 3 days. We've stayed at this hotel on multiple visits to Savannah. The location is great and is in great proximity to the downtown historic district. The room and the stay was worth the amount we paid. SpringHill Suites is a Marriott property which means great accommodations and free breakfast. My family and I were made to feel very welcome upon our arrival. Our room had two queen size beds and a sofa bed. It was clean, with a refrigerator and a microwave. The hotel also has a pool. The pool was undergoing remodeling at the time of our stay. It does have a fitness room. The hotel does have valet parking. You can also use the public parking nearby though I wouldn't recommend it. Valet parking cost $20.00/day. You can come and go as you please. Our stay was from Thursday to Sunday. We were charged a lower price for Thursday but the price increased from Friday to Sunday. Savannah is a nice place to visit with kids. My family and I went on the horse drawn carriage tour of the historic district. We had lunch at Tubby's on the Riverfront. The food was good. Lunch was a little pricey but the food was worth the money spent. The downtown square has a splash pad for the kids to cool off from the summer heat. When I return for another stay, this hotel will be one of my choices.

Room Tip: Our room was on the first floor which I found to be very convenient. It was very quiet even though...

This hotel is in a very nice part of town and easy to get to. It's within walking distance of many attractions in town. The concierge was very helpful in helping us decide what would be good activities for us while in town. I liked that the hotel offered shuttle service to local trolleys. The room was nice and spacious, plenty big enough for the four of us. My kids liked having a pool on the second floor, although we only used it once. The breakfast was nice and had a lot of options, but it was always crowded. I'd definitely stay here again.

The staff at this hotel went out of their way to help us out. Especially the valet guys. They helped with luggage in and out. Front desk and breakfast crew were friendly and helpful as well. They always greeted us when entering the front.

Our room however was not that great. There were huge stains on the couch and curtains. I would not have expected that from Springhill!

All in all it was a nice place to stay in a good location.

Our 1st visit to Savannah and chose this hotel by location to historic downtown with in walking distance plus the queen suite and sofa bed, we are not pool people that was not important to us..

The staff were excellent - friendly and breakfast was ok.

We liked the split bathroom with sink - toilet in one area and shower - sink in another perfect for family or like us 3 people, plus a desk between the queen beds and sofa - sleeper, two t.v's as well.

Our room was clean with comfortable beds plus carpet as well.

While OK for a SH Suites property, it's ultra modern sleekness is out of place. Doesn't capture the atmosphere of Old Savannah. No towel racks in bathroom, toilet separate like many European hotels...with small towel rack! Good breakfast, service.

We greatly appreciate your comments!

When I first saw the hotel design, I was astounded but quickly realized this is a polarizing layout. Many people love it, quite a few quickly decide it's not for them. And as you mentioned, some find it very unusual to be located in a Historical District. I heard a recent guest say it is nice to be able to tour the history of Savannah, but to be able to retreat to a modern contemporary respite at the end of the day. I thought this was quite insightful as well.

Regardless, we are most concerned that we provide a clean, friendly, & stress-free stay to our guests. We hope if you are ever in Savannah in the future you will give us the opportunity to take care of you again.

We came to visit Savannah with our two boys, 7 and 12.. The hotel was OK, kids liked it, but they have age 7 and 12 year old standards.. The pool was closed for renovation upon arrival and it wasn't mentioned during or after booking. The staff was all pleasant I will say, and our room was again OK. The beds and furniture were clean, but the carpet was stained and the bathroom had some mildew in the shower and in the room with the toilet which was separate and kinda odd. The toilet handle was broken and needed fixed and our main bathroom light was out and needed to be replaced. Both problems were solved, but too bad they were not handled prior to us arriving. The breakfast was actually very good for a free breakfast! The kids loved that and I can't complain about hot fresh coffee and waffles! We would probably return, but would hope the few issues were addressed.
