A walking trail leads to the 1737 tabby ruins of the oldest remaining structure in the Savannah. Trails meander past scenic marsh views to the Colonial Life Area, where costumed interpreters provide living history demonstrations in the afternoons, weather permitting. “Beautiful drive down Trees, take the free tour!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014

This place was really beautiful - good place for pictures. Our tour guide was very helpful. He was really into the history of the state which made it more enjoyable for me. The staff cares a lot about the grounds and have taken it upon themselves to build things to show how things were done in the past, which I love.

If you are a couple, and you don't like/can't walk that much, you can ask for a golf cart tour. It was so much faster to cover the ground in that.

“Unique beauty!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2014 via mobile

That corridor of trees is impressive!
The site itself is not full of things to see or to do (in this aspect, they should do something...it is very poor of services), but the corridor is a must see view.

“Beautiful and scenic historical stop”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

We passed through here on a trip from Columbia to Savannah, and it was a perfect stop. While there wasn't as much history as I expected, aside from a video at the visitors' center and some ruins along the loop, the scenery is beautiful. The mile long road when you first arrive is lined with Oak trees with Spanish moss and is gorgeous. And the Marsh outlook is peaceful and equally lovely. I'd definitely recommend for a quiet and scenic couple of hours.

“Hidden Gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

What a hidden gem! Upon entering the site we were greeted at a quaint cottage where we purchased our admissions. Gerri at the entrance provided us with a wealth of knowledge about Wormsloe's history and Savannah in general. She gave us restaurant recommendations only a short distance from the site (Sandfly BBQ=YUM!), provided us with maps of Savannah, Bluff drive, Bonaventure cemetery, and gave us directions to Tybee Island. Southern hospitality at it's finest! She highly recommended the tour and we are so glad she did! After purchasing our passes we drove through a breathtaking live oak tunnel. At the museum we had the chance to watch a short, but informative, video on the history of the park before heading out on the tour. Our tour guide Jesse was entertaining and very knowledgeable about the history of Wormlsoe. It was less than a mile walk to see the ruins, grave site, shell midden, and small colonial village. I would have loved to see some reenactments but there were none the day we visited. Overall it was a great tour and a great experience at Wormsloe. I cannot thank Gerri and Jesse enough for making our visit to Wormsloe one we will never forget!

“Nice scenery but overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014 via mobile

My girlfriend and I passed by here and were expecting quite a bit from the old fort and such but it was a bit dissapointing. We loved the scenery and nature but thought 10$/ per person was overpriced. Half that or even less would be more then enough. It is very peaceful and nice for a stroll though.
