My husband and I stayed here for the first time during St. Patricks weekend. This place exceeded our expectations and more. It was perfectly located to everything in the historic district. Just make sure you wear good walking shoes. The room was clean and the staff was phenomenal. We had a superior Queen room which had the perfect view of East Bay Street, especially during the looong parade. The noise from the street was a little overwhelming the first two nights, but the last night we left the television on low volume to drown out the noise from all the action down below. Overall, we will be staying here for EVERY return visit to Savannah.

My niece and I spent two wonderful nights at the East Bay Inn. The location was perfect for walkiing all over Savanah. It was also nice having a parking spot so close to the front door!
The room was just great with high ceilings and brick walls. The sofa and chair were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent advice regarding restaurants and other attractions in Savanah. We also enjoyed the happy hour and meeting other travelers.

Just stayed here one night. Split the trip expenses with some friends. We made our reservation a few days ago and even then between all of us, we felt we didn't pay a lot. This place is historic in itself. You are not staying at a luxury location, though (the floor creaks, our bathroom door didn't lock). The building is old so just keep in mind that everything isn't state-of-the-art. But luckily for beautiful places such as this, there are some of us that appreciate the simplicity of older times. The room is nicely furnished (very early 1900's or so). The staff is very friendly. You are on the river and just minutes away (walking) from the City Market, great pubs, restaurants, landmarks- all the best parts of Savannah (without being in the middle of it). The night was quiet, no noisy neighbors in the hotel or out on the streets. One interesting thing to note is that our room had a visitor journal where people write entries about their stay :D

Room Tip: We stayed in room 213. Loved it (the decor, the beds, the size). If there is a visitor journal in y...

I spent two nights here with two friends at the end of February. The location was ideal, in the historic district, across from the river and within walking distance of many historic sites and good restaurants. The staff was friendly and very helpful and, in addition to using them as a resource for area attractions, there is also a journal in each room where previous guests write down their impressions and suggestions. What's more, they have a wine and cheese gathering in the lobby where guests can discuss their activities. We received some shopping and dining tips through these methods. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with red brick walls, lovely paintings, and toile curtains. There were two queen size beds--something I discovered was hard to find in Savannah B & Bs. The floors were hardwood, with some area rugs. As others have noted, there was some creaking from above, but it didn't keep us up at night. Also, the area around the entrance/bathroom was rather slippery. There was an armoire, with a TV, a safe, and room to hang a few items. The beds were comfortable, towels good, and nice amenities in the bathroom. There are no in room coffee pots, but there is coffee available in the lobby at all times. There is also a computer available for guest use. The breakfast was nice, not gourmet, but something for everyone. I would not hesitate to stay here again and think it would be ideal for someone traveling on their own--you could chat with guests during the wine reception and during breakfast time.

First weekend in March it is cold & rainy... We grabbed some umbrellas & had a great time. Staff all made us feel welcome. Enjoyed wine & snacks at 5:00 pm . Room was a queen with corner view of River Street. Loved brick wall in room...very old world feel . The Inn is older but very charming. We enjoyed our stay...very relaxing. Love Savannah!!

We stayed for two nights. The accommodations were very nice. The first night was a bit noisy, (creaky floors) but that is expected for an old building. Staff very friendly and helpful. But I did feel like the hotel was working for some of local businesses. Was not impressed with some of their suggestions. But overall a great time. Great location to everything!!!

My mother and I stayed at the Inn for 1 night as we travelled for a mother daughter over night trip to Savannah. I wasn't really familiar with the area and selected Inn from the internet. We were very pleased. it was located in the middle of everything. Our room was just like it is pictured--.highly recommend room 208. Julie at the front desk very pleasant and assisted with anything we wanted to do and Melvin the Bellman was kind and always had a smile! ------Debbie and Barb
