“Beautiful -- Historic -- Downtown”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

This park is just beautiful. There are lots of benches for you to sit and enjoy the beauty. Lovely fountains, and lots of historic value.

“Hit the Farmers Market on Saturday morning!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

Walk or bike over to this lovely well-kept park on a Sat and you'll get to sample the goods at the weekly Farmers Market. Home baked goods, artisan breads, butters, cheeses, honey, jam, coffees. Veggies and flowers too. We sat under a shady tree and savored our purchases. You can get a rental Bike Share bike at two spots in town. Great way to enjoy this and other parks.

“Wish we could have stopped for the splash pad!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014 via mobile

I had Forsythe Park on my Saves list. We drove by it several times today during our trolley tour of the historic downtown area. The other reviews speak to the park's virtues save one...

There is a spray pad next to the canopied stage and visitor center that looked perfect for our young kids. Maybe well catch it next time through!

“Wonderful Park MUST SEE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

This was an absolutely wonderful park to see and would put it on a MUST list. We visited first thing on a Sat. morning and there were people walking, running, exercising and the place was abuzz with activity. They were setting up for a small festival and there was also a Farmer's Market with local vendors. People walking their dogs and just so much to enjoy seeing. There are great trees with Spanish moss and blooms galore in April. This park is kept very clean and well maintained landscape. Plenty of places to sit and relax and take in the people and sites and sounds. There is a cafe in the park with very nice bathrooms too. We were glad we went early morning before probably lots of people show up and it would be crowded. You can walk the park in under and hour leisurely but if you go on a weekend and there is activities give yourself more time if you plan on partaking:) The walkways are wide and there are greenway areas if you want to take a blanket and sit out or have a picnic.

“Post Visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

In that our hotel was directly across the street from this magnificent park, we were in it or crossing it everyday. Every city should have something like this - from its famous fountain, to historical monuments, large playgrounds and open areas for many different functions, café, rest rooms, stage areas for music festivals, etc..
