I walked to Forsyth Park on a Sunday morning. I was amazed at how large and beautiful it was. It is across the street from The Mansion, which is worth a visit as well. There was a lot of activity and quite a few visitors in the park. I sat and listened to a gentleman playing the guitar and singing a Tracy Chatman song. A homeless gentleman pointed out some things about the park, places to see in the area, as well as some places to see downtown. The neighborhood felt really safe, and everyone I encountered was friendly. The park has a stage, monuments, a splash fountain for the kids, a snack bar, and plenty of seating for just relaxing. Forsyth park is a must see when in historic Savannah.

The park is beautiful with it's monuments and the gorgeous fountain. It also has a nice cafe, a playground for the kids and a fragrant garden. The walkways canopied by huge live oaks covered in Spanish moss give it a majestic beauty.

We decided to visit Forsyth Park since we heard that they had a farmers market on Saturdays. We walked about 1.3 miles to the park from our hotel and were able to see a bunch of beautiful homes along the way. It was worth the walk, even though it was getting warm and was humid. The park itself was a great city park with old trees, green space for playing or lounging, pretty fountain, kids park and great walking paths. If you can go on Saturday morning and stop at the farmers market and pick up some pecans, ginger products, and veggies.

We spent part of a day walking through Forsyth Park and down Bull Street visiting the squares. Forsyth Park was beautiful, we spent time seeing the monuments and of course the fountain! Loved all the trees with Spanish moss and wonderful places to sit and relax in the shade, it was very hot and humid.

Gorgeous park! We loved walking through the park and seeing/hearing the children play on the splash pad and playground. Open and airy. We also sat in the cafe to rest and have a drink to plan out where to go next. Clean bathrooms.
