“Valet Staff Know Their Stuff”
Reviewed 21 June 2014 via mobile

Came to Savannah for a 3 night stay to celebrate a birthday. This Embassy Suites Hotel was a first ever for me. Nice location, convenient to all. Great free breakfasts and cocktail spread in the afternoon.
The valet named Blue made our day. Sending us the the best bbq in Savannah and to Tybee Island. He is just so knowledgeable and gracious
The concierge was marginal as he didn't remember us after 3 mi uses and logged us in under the name of "Rewards" because we handed him a rewards card and he just didn't pay much attention to the details, I guess.
The housekeeping staff is tops. Rooms spotlessly clean and they were just delightful and eager to assist

There is much to love here at the Embassy Suites--it's very clean and spacious; elevators were fast; washers and dryers were invaluable after much swimming and hiking; swimming pool was warm and well equipped; breakfast provided good selection of tasty items; and interactions with the staff were a joy as everyone was very pleasant and helpful. We were seriously under-whelmed by the fare provided at the complimentary evening reception although the drink selection was fine. The hotel is a wonderful starting point for exploring Savannah and we loved how easy it was to get into and out of and having convenient parking. Well worth the cost and we will certainly make this our first choice for our next visit.

My family and I stayed in a King suit for one night during our trip back from FL to our home state of NC. The room was new and clean and big. The only minor thing was we didn't have a bath to give our toddler and baby a bath but this was no problem as we managed to clean them in the shower. It was so nice to have a room for us and the kids slept in the living room on the pull out bed and in a pack'n play that was provided and in our room waiting when we got there.

The food we had that evening was very good!

BREAKFAST: This was the best free breakfast I have ever had. We got custom fresh omelets made and brought out to us and there was other good food to pick from as well. Two thumbs up. One minor thing is we got someone else omelet that had hot peppers in it and my husband was ill for the rest of the day after accidentally eating a bite of it. Another one was made and brought out and we told the staff at the front during our checkout but nothing was offered. We are Hilton Gold members so my husband will take it up with them.

But the rooms and hotel is wonderful and we would stay here again if we needed a place to stay in Savannah again.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Savannah for two nights with our two kids. It's a little pricey, but it's a very nice hotel with spacious one-bedroom suites with a kitchenette, a nice outdoor pool (walled-in from the street), and a good location for exploring Savannah. You can walk to the City Market area from the hotel (a couple of blocks), which has some great restaurants and shopping. You do have to pay for parking, but it is in the garage immediately across from the hotel.

The service was great; the concierge recommended Old Town Savannah tours for us and called a shuttle bus that took us right to the first pick-up area. He also recommended two great coffee shops; Savannah Coffee Roasters (within walking distance from the hotel) and Galley Espresso on Bull Street (we are coffee addicts so the recommendation was welcome!). The hotel hosts a happy hour between 5 and 7 with complimentary drinks and snacks; their bar and lobby area is upscale and well-appointed with plenty of seating (kids were welcome, which was a bonus). Breakfast is included and featured an omelet bar.

The only negative was that the pipes were a little noisy; everytime someone took a shower, you could hear the running water in the wall right by our heads. I am a light sleeper so I notice things like that. However, overall it was quiet, clean and comfortable, albeit a little pricey.

Room Tip: The fifth floor was quiet

check in was fast and easy. lobby was clean and open. room was very nice and had fridge, micro-wave, coffee maker, ironing board with iron, and hair dryer readily available. pool was great. drinks and snacks at happy hour were a plus.my only disappointment was the breakfast. I have had much better at a Hampton Inn. Omlets are not supposed to be runny.and seasonal fruit should be ripe or not put out for consumption. coffee was strong enough to get up and walk. toaster would not accommodate English muffin or pastries. I believe I will pass on" free" breakfast next time.

You simply MUST stay here, at the Embassy Suites, Savannah!! Their staff will make you feel like royalty, and unlike a very unfortunate experience down the street from here at Residence Inn, Marriott, I wll NEVER stay in a Marriott property again!! This location, at Embassy Suites, Savannah is just amazing and sublime, opulent and the staff, I simply cannot give them enough praise!! Marriott ought to send there GM Donnie Morgan and staff down the street to Hilton and show them how to treat people, patrons, clients, "their paycheck, bread and butter!" Sincerely, Mrs. O Jacksonville, FL
