The food was top notch. Our group had bacon wrapped scallops, fried green tomatoes, Neptune, filet mignon. The flavor and food was fantastic. The waiter was very fun and friendly. He recommended a great wine for dinner. The key lime and pineapple upside down martinis are also fantastic. I would definitely go back.

We visited for our 45th wedding anniversary. The atmosphere, the food, the service, and even the background piano music were extraordinary. Ernie T. was our server and he was knowledgeable as well as funny. My wife enjoyed the Boursin Chicken and I had the Chef's Special grouper dish. We topped it off sharing a delicious slice of pecan pie with a scoop of Leopold's kahlua ice cream - Ernie's recommendation. We could have stayed all night to listen to the fantastic pianist - don't know his name, but his background music (largely classical) was mesmerizing.

We went here tonight for our 5 year anniversary and it was a brilliant experience. Everything from the food , atmosphere and drinks to the staff were outstanding. Melvin was our waiter and he went out of his way for us. He was a charming waiter! Very professional! They also had an outstanding piano player playing elegantly without break the entire evening.... If you want all Savannah has to offer in a dining experience give 1790 a shot. You wont be disappointed!

This is a great place for a romantic dinner or a late night bar scene. The place is known to have ghosts as well. A dark atmosphere in an old house actually built around 1820. Small and quaint. Great food and service. The bar is also a great place to gather after eating. We went back each evening after dinner each evening.
