From the moment I walked into the lobby I knew I was in a very special place. The outside is very subtle, not obvious that it is a commercial establishment. Everything about this B&B was lovely: Beautiful interior, charming staff, superb gourmet breakfast! All in keeping with a vision of Southern Charm. They were especially gracious when checking out I knocked over a vase outside the room with my large bag.

Unfortunately, We were only able to stay at the Inn for one night, but we had a great experience. The staff was extremely helpful and assisted us with maps and advice on sight seeing and the historical district. The Inn is located in the Historic district and has several nice areas to sit and enjoy the area within walking distance. It is less than a mile from River street and is a pleasant walk.

The room was more like home away from home than a hotel room. We stayed in one of the traditional rooms with the exposed brick and four poster bed. It was very quaint and relaxing. The room smelled nice and clean, the bathroom was clean and it even had a built in bookshelf with all genres of books. It was a very good experience and we will stay there again!

Room Tip: Go for the traditional rooms as they add that "extra" something to help the stay be more s...

At this b&b there are 4 floors, but no elevators, however even with my bad knee I didn't
mind a bit. Very charming! This B&B stretches down the street as well as up 4 floors, all of the rooms have a different theme as well as unique names. There are also 2-3-and4bedroom units. Private baths are a great advantage in this Inn. The staff here are very professional , service is top notch. Will stay here again and again!

Room Tip: Be sure to research the different rooms and room locations on their web site to be sure you get the...

We had stayed at this B&B in October and had such a good experience we decided to stay again with friends at a return weekend in December. We were running in a race the next morning, so we requested from two different staff members upon check in if they would so kindly put our breakfast in a box and save for us. Both of the staff members said they didn't think it could be done but really didn't know. We then requested it on the breakfast sign up sheet hoping the staff in the morning would accommodate our request. The next morning, before our run, we asked the kitchen service staff if they received our request and if it could be accommodated. The young man ruffled through the sign up sheets but never really gave us a yes or no answer. Just sort of looked at us and nodded. We returned from our run and no one in the kitchen knew anything about our request. One of the reasons we stay at a bed and Breakfast, is for the breakfast and the usual overly accommodating staff to take care of their guest needs. We will find another B&B for our return trips to Savannah which are often.

As the owner, I am sorry to hear your return visit was not as enjoyable as the first time. We appreciate your feedback and have taken measures to improve our breakfast offering. This has involved removing the aforementioned member of staff from kitchen duty and bringing in an experienced Bed & Breakfast chef to better cater to our guest requirements. Our staff are known for being friendly and helpful and I am sorry that this was not your experience. I do hope you will revisit our historic inn on your next trip to Savannah.

This B&B is a beautiful, well-kept facility in a great location. The neighborhood was quiet, the room was clean and comfortable. The amenities were just what we needed. I would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Savannah.

My only criticism is of the breakfast offering. It was satisfactory but if a B&B appeals to you purely for the breakfast inclusion, this may not be the place for you at this time.

The Inn is a collection of houses in the historic part of Savannah, arguably somewhat out to the edge but only a 10 to 15 minute walk into the market area etc. The buildings suffer from being old and historic in that there are no elevators and steep and narrow stairs, we were on the third floor so getting our bags up and down was a trial! Our bedroom was tight for space but it had a great bed, probably the highest I have ever slept in, there were little steps one side to help with the climb! I was nervous, at first, I might fall out with a resounding thump, but it didn't happen and I slept well.
Breakfast has to be ordered the night before and when you arrive it is put in front of you pretty quickly, and it's very good. There are always cookies or something similar in the evening too.
Parking is an issue - we were fortunate, when we turned up there was a space right outside and we didn't move the car for 36 hours (we stayed 2 nights) and the Inn gave us a ticket that kept the traffic patrols at bay and fed the meter up to the time we left.
The staff run a good operation and are friendly and helpful, they suffer with the shortage of space too - you never saw a smaller reception area!

Savannah Bed & Breakfast was ONLY our second venture into a B&B....and WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. From the moment we entered the front door, Pam who was on duty, greeted us with enthusasium and a BIG smile. ALL the staff, Holly front desk blalance of our stay; Mary and Linda who tend to the kitty's on staff, to the "chef's" in the kitchen, were ALL there to assist in "finding" the places we had chosen to eat or sites we had chosen to see. Our room in the "LIBRARY" was comfortable and ALWAYS CLEAN. We would definitely return to Savannah Bed & Breakfast.

Room Tip: Even though our room was on the second floor, facing the street, we heard no noises.
