“Best Place to Stay”

Like so much of Savannah, the Savannah Bed & Breakfast Inn is just beautiful. We stayed in the Jackson Suite which has two tastefully appointed bedrooms and a small kitchen complete with nearly-new appliances as well as dinnerware and cookware. Although we did not use all the features of the kitchen, we did take advantage of the washer and dryer to cut down on the amount of sweaty clothing we'd have to carry home in our luggage! Everything was so clean. The beds are extremely comfortable including pillows that were just right. We were treated each day to an excellent breakfast--hearty enough to keep us going until after most people had lunch. The serving staff is so friendly and caring--they go out of their way to make everyone comfortable. And the same is true for the staff at the front desk. The Inn is perfectly located in a quieter area bordering Chatham Square, with nearby cafes, shops, Forsyth Park, and the DOT free bus service. Broughton Street, City Market, and River Street are just a short walk away. If we ever go to Savannah again, this is where we'll stay!

Room Tip: This suite is two steps down from sidewalk level--excellent for those who don't want a lot of st...

This inn has a very convenient location: all the interesting sites in Savannah can be reached by foot but it is far from the noisy river front. The house is very tastefully furnished, we particularly liked the balcony overlooking the inner courtyard where one can enjoy the delicious breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and clean.

We stayed in the Jasper house which in their largest. It was very clean. But since it was summer, the third floor was at least 10 degrees warmer than the first two floors. The staff was amazing and food was good ( although not a huge breakfast selection). On my next trip, I will probably stay some place a little closer to City Market and the River front. But if you like quiet, this is the place for you.

It's easy to walk around the historic district from this B and B. Also, the Trolley stops are not far, or you can call and they will pick you up from the hotel. This is not your mom and pop bed and breakfast. It is really many brownstones tied together over a city block or so. Our room, the Oriental, was nicely furnished. Bathroom is adequate with shower tub combo. Breakfast is just convenient, nothing to rave about. Generally, our experience has been that they layout quite the spread, but here you choose between the chefs special, like two small pieces of French toast with bacon and cut up apples and pineapple, or the alternate meatless breakfast. You have to select a time, and then are served. When we come back, we will stay down along the river where the restaurants, shops and action is and take the trolley to the historic area.

Room Tip: Ask to be in the main building

I loved the beautiful inn and its location, the wonderful service, and the friendly staff. The staff went out of their way to help us book ghost and trolley tours, dinners and offered us shopping tips. I will definitely stay in the same B&B Inn.

Stayed here on way through to Tennessee. Great location right in the historic district. Easy walking to parks, river street, and other attractions. We got upgraded to a house since out room ac wasn't working , so that was great. Way more then just my wife and I needed. Breakfast was just ok, since we're vegan and they didn't really have anything for us other than toast and fruit. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a very nice stay compliments of the Savannah B & B for Spring Break, 2014. Our room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable with a beautiful view of one of Savannah's more quiet squares. It was within walking distance to several historic homes, including the Mercer-Williams house and the Andrew Lowe house, and it offered a great location for early morning and evening walks. Located away from the more crowded sections of historic Savannah (while still being inside the historic district) offered a quiet place to crash at the end of a busy day. Breakfast was good. The staff is very friendly and offered several helpful opinions on restaurants (with accompanying maps). Before going, I read several reviews about the narrow staircases and yes, they were all true. I have a huge duffle bag and I had to squeeze up the stairs sideways--but that was a simple price to pay for staying in a historic Gordon Row house! Would stay there on every return trip.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Holly room. Quiet, nicely decorated, beautiful view of the square. Narrow stairca...
