“Loved this B&B”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Loved this B&B. The room was spacious with a separate living room. The staff was great. The price was great. The breakfast wasn't gourmet like a lot of others I've been to but for the price it was great. The location is nice just down the street from Forsyth Park.

Room Tip: We were in the tree top room. There are three flights of stairs but it wasn't as bad as it sound...

My wife and I wanted a nice trip prior to the birth of our 1st child. I work in a corporate hotel setting and when I travel I enjoy distancing myself from triple sheeting, speced out tiny soaps and robotic responses from associates looking to have their name added to a comment card. We booked at the Savannah B&B and we could not have enjoyed ourselves anymore.
Upon arrival we met Frederick. He shown us around, made us laugh, suggested a great local joint a couple blocks away and really set the tone for our trip. We stayed in the Turkish room. It was nicely decorated and we had no problem relaxing after our long walks around the historic district.
Breakfast is served promptly every morning and...it was awesome! Eggs Benedict the 1st day, pancakes with fresh fruit the 2nd and a nice omelette to sent us on our way home.
The location could not be better. The B&B is just a stones throw to Forsythe Park which Is aligned with huge trees draped in Spanish moss and one the nicest fountains you'll ever see. We loved that it was set further back in the historic district which allowed us to see the beauty Savannah has to offer that you may miss if you're staying down near the river. Once our daughter is old enough to travel comfortably I hope to make back to Savannah. Luckily we won't have to worry about finding a nice comfortable place to lay our heads.

We stayed July 25-27 in the Jasmine rm. It was just as the pictures showed on their website. The room was decorated nicely and the entire establishment was quaint. Try to stay in one of the traditional rooms as they're on the first floor. Our friends stayed in the yellow rm & they were on two floors up and the room was smaller. The stairs are steep...not for elderly, handicapped or overweight people. We'll definitely stay here again. Lovely place

Stayed in the Egyptian room which is on the 3rd floor in front of main building. Very nicely decorated. Some sound from adjacent room (from downstairs through fireplace?), but not too much. A/C worked fine, bathroom was very nice, wifi good. Cleaning staff in and out while we were on the town. Very convenient location in SW corner of historic district. Street parking was very easy--within 1/2 block each time we came and went. Afternoon tea and nighttime cookies and milk a nice touch. Breakfast very good and staff super friendly. Enjoyed eating on back porch and meeting resident cats.

Room Tip: Review pictures online and call if you are not sure. Quite a number of choices and each room is uni...

I stayed here for 2 days in the General Jackson Suite which had it's own entrance from the street and a lovely small private courtyard at the back. The suite has 2 bedrooms one with twin beds and the other with a great four poster bed. There was also a fully equipped kitchen with a washer dryer also. The Inn consists of 4 houses and I think the standard rooms are all up very steep stairs so I loved where my suite was, Breakfast was cooked fresh and a new choice each day. You can eat in the parlour/dining room or on the terrace balcony. All the staff were so pleasant, informative and helpful. The Inn is also in a very central location just off Forsyth Square and park with all it's old mansions. The Inn is on a narrow street with metered parking but you are provided with a free parking pass for the duration of your stay. I love this place and hope I can return some day.

Room Tip: I never saw the upstairs rooms but reserve a suite if you can.
