“Chattam Suite”
Reviewed 14 February 2014

This was without question the finest bed and breakfast stay that I have ever experienced. Staff is exceptionally polite and helpful. (Especially their caretaker Rodney...went above and beyond)

The suite itself was incredible, centrally located and exceptionally comfortable.

Will definitely be returning and referring others....

We stayed here for 3 nights last December starting Christmas eve. Monique the innkeeper is a charming hostess, giving us a warm welcome (despite arriving at 10:30 pm Christmas eve!). The Inn is terrific and we can't think of anything that was lacking. We stayed in the 2 story Chatham unit overlooking the square. It was very quiet and peaceful, comfortably decorated, and with a newly re-done bathroom. Very comfortable bed, delicious breakfasts, and multiple gas fireplaces. They even added the extra touch of a live, 6 foot tall, beautifully decorated Christmas tree - amazing! Thanks again Monique for a wonderful stay.

The Chatham suite is absolutely wonderful. Coming "home" to enjoy any one of the three fireplaces in the suite was a lovely treat on the cool days and nights that we were visiting in January. The carriage ride followed by dinner at the 17Hundred90 house as recommended by Monique were both fabulous. The thing that sold me on the Chatham suite as compared to the other wonderful Armstrong Inn choices was the Turkish Marble bathroom - so beautiful and unique. We highly recommend this property.

I am so very pleased with my stay at the Armstrong Inns Jenkins house during my visit to Savanah this January. The house is in excellent condition and so very lovely, even better than the photos online portrayed. The beds are very comfortable, the breakfast selections were tasty and unique, and the off street parking was a big plus! The proprietor, Monique, is absolutely adorable and refreshing to be around. I truly felt "at home" in the Jenkins house...I even skipped a day of sightseeing just to hang around the house and relax. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone else visiting the area.

My wife and I have visited Savannah many of times and always chose to stay in a B&B, but were looking for something a little more unique (a quiet weekend away from our young children) and wow did we find it.

We stayed in the Chatham suite which is located on beautiful Chatham square. This two story suite was EVERYTHING that my wife and I were looking for an then some. Monique (the owner) showed us into the suite and it was love at first sight! There are three fireplaces that all came in handy as it was a frigid weekend for Savannah's standards.

The location is fabulous and the suite was even better- it has everything that one could need including AMAZING breakfasts and snacks from Doreen the chef. If you are looking for a unique, relaxing and romantic lodging in Savannah then you CAN'T miss Armstrong Inns. I can assure you that Monique and her staff will do everything in their power to make sure you have a fantastic stay (we were taking a carriage ride Saturday evening and Monique was worried my wife might be cold so she loaned her a scarf and ear muffs to make sure we were as prepared as possible).

Thank you so much for allowing us to share your beautiful Inn Monique and please pass along our greatest thanks to the staff for helping us have such a memorable weekend!!

Dear John and Paige,

You had a grand time in the Historic District during the coldest days of the winter. This year, it has been exceptionally cold. Visitors come at this time of the year to experience the warmth of our historic architecture and interiors, topped with old time living in a historic B&B , The cultural character of Old Savannah at its best!

It is not unusual to meet residents of the Historic District who have moved here from other states. Just like for me and William, they fell under the magic charm of the city; It was love at “the” first sight.

The light of the Low Country mesmerized William when he came to work on the movie “The Legend of Bagger Vance” in 1999, with Director Robert Redford. He wanted to stay for a while, after the end of the movie. Five thousand sunrises and sunsets later, my painter is staying.

It has been my passion since to offer visitors the actual experience and the ambiance of living in a private historic home, in the oldest part of Savannah. Welcome.

Monique

I stayed in the carriage house and it was perfect!!! A single woman traveling with two tiny dogs can be scary, but I felt very safe here! Everything, including the food, was fantastic! Savannah is beautiful, and this location is perfect! Cannot wait to go back!!!

If your looking for somewhere better than a 5 star hotel this is the place for you. When we first called we felt the warmness of Monique. When we got to savannah we were greeted and fell completely in love with the Jenkins house. It was warm and classy. We were told all about savannah and what there was to do and Monique was offering to make us reservations to anywhere we wanted to go. Monique truly made our visit much more exciting. From every detail you get more than a traditional hotel. From the stickers on the robes letting us know they we washed and cleaned to bringing us breakfast each morning. We also brought our dogs and it was such a pleasure to have such a home setting instead of a small basic hotel room. Everything was luxurious and very clean. Showering was such a pleasure having the choice of one to three shower heads. From the granite in the kitchen to the wood floors and even having two personal fire places. Internet and parking was included in our stay too! Look do not wait or think about this trust me you want to stay here. See the rest for your self! If we are ever in savannah this is where we'll be.

Dear guests, Your review means a lot to us since the weather in Savannah during your stay was the coldest I ever experienced in 14 years. I am not complaining about the weather. The fireplaces in the inns are roaring this month. A fire in the chimney during the morning coffee is something very enjoyable. Home, sweet home.
Welcome!
Monique
