“Great location for a weekender”
Reviewed 27 January 2014 via mobile

We stayed here for a girls bachelorette party weekend. We got 2 rooms, and it was great! Parked the car and didn't use it all weekend! Walking distance to everywhere you want to go in Savannah. Close to restaurants, bars, sites, and shopping. Rooms were kinda small, but had full kitchens and enough room for us.

There was construction everywhere in the hotel during our entire stay Jan 15 -20, 2014 but was wrapping up by our departure. It was looking beautiful.
The new hotel lobby design was gorgeous! Would've loved to see the completed Lobby.
We loved sitting by the fireplace on cold mornings or evening. There was some noise (due to construction) but nothing to complain about. The hotel rooms are nice, but what your paying for is LOCATION, location, location. That was by far the best part. You walk out the doors & your right in the heart of everything. Having on site laundry (washer & dryer) was also a plus for us.
Best feature beside the location, was the staff.
They were fantastic (all of them) during our entire stay. Friendly, helpful & fun. Always smiling & singing.
Only thing I could "complain" about & I'm digging deep here is the Breakfast "buffet."
I would not have called it a buffet. It was a nice continental breakfast.
We have stayed at lots of hotels who have the same items they had & do not call it a "buffet."
They basically served the same hot items all 5 days we were there, so a little change up would've been nice.
Also the wifi was spotty & not very fast. (Didn't come to Savannah for the wifi!)
Overall, we loved our stay despite the construction.
We would love to come back one day & would recommend this hotel to our friends & family.

Staybridge is centrally located and does offer both a free breakfast and Happy Hour. However, if you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay, look elsewhere. Doors can be heard slamming shut all the way down the hallway. Make sure your room is not near the workout room as you will have to endure all of those sounds through the paper thin walls. Lastly, renovations are underway so the lobby is in a state of repair. In the end, the amount of noise will have me stay somewhere else next time.

for the price this was great. dog friendly, free host sponsored happy hour beverages and o'dourves from 5:30-7:30, free breakfast and awsome service mark this as one of my favorite stays in savannah. the location was perfect, right in the heart of the historical didtrict. the staff; especially william, the chief engineer, was very accommodating. william, who we first mistook for the bellman quickly offered to help us unload our car. we tried to tip him, but because my husband is a combat veteran he refused and thanked him for his service. the whole staff was very helpful and friendly. i should know as i have been in the hospitality business for over 35 years. will definitely return!!

We chose the Staybridge Suites in Savannah because of its "dog-friendly" policy and location in Savannah. While it is a no-frills hotel, we enjoyed our clean room and the staff was very hospitable. We loved the location as well. We were especially impressed by the staff - they were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and most importantly, they called me immediately upon noticing that I left "my purse" in my room after we had checked out. We are likely to return next time we are traveling through Savannah with the pup!

We have stayed in Savannah many times, but this was our first stay at Staybridge and probably our last. The King Suite was clean, but very small. The bed was missing the dust ruffle and had sharp plastic things sticking out of the box spring corners, and the comforter was a lumpy mess! The staff was friendly and attentive and very speedy to meet our requests of extra blankets and a television remote that worked. The breakfast was great. The location is really good. The kitchen was convenient. However, the elevators were painfully slow, and the construction zone was not brought to our attention upon booking. I am all for hotels updating (and this one needs a little updating), but I would at least like the courtesy of knowing this before my stay. Also, I love dogs ... but have never seen (nor heard) such a large number of dogs when staying at a hotel. Although the "bark-fest" did not go on at night, it was quite annoying when trying to get our toddler to sleep in the afternoon. My opinion is for Staybridge to raise the bar ... or lower the price. For the money, there are much better hotels to spend your money on in Savannah!

Right off Bay St. Walk across the street and you are at River street and the water front. Old TV didn't have HDMI inputs, at these price, time for upgrades! They were upgrading some rooms, carts for tools and stuff in the way outside the room all day. The roof ladder was down for 2 days blocking part of the emergency exit stairwell. The room was clean, a fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and kitchen utensils! They have a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning, and coffee all day. Couple of Manager specials 2 evening we were there, food and drinks during Happy Hour. Small parking lot out back, over flow is on top floor of the parking garage a little farther down the block. Staff was friendly and helpfully.
