Thanks Tracy! I'm glad to hear we exceeded your expectations! Come again!
I was reluctant to stay at a chain in a place as unique as Savannah, but price was a priority and in the end I was very glad we chose this one.The lobby was nice, the valet parking was fast and convenient, our room was great, and there was quite a spread for breakfast. We didn't ask much of the front desk but they were still very helpful. The best thing about this hotel though is the location, we stayed three days and didn't need to get the car out once for anything in the historic district, and the riverfront and Olde Pink House are literally a stone's throw away.
Wow! Thanks for your kind words. It is our obligation to make every guest stay an outstanding one, and judging by your review, mission accomplished! We hope that when you revisit Savannah in the future that we are your choice.
Was treated family by staff. The Hotel was in a beautiful building with the room being one of the best I ever stayed in. The hotel is in the Historic part of the city and easy walk to the waterfront and all the great restaurants.
Hi Michael, thank you for staying with us, having you as a guest was exactly like having family visit for the week! Looking forward to your return! Enjoy your day!
We spent two nights in Savannah in this hotel and really enjoyed it. Great location in the heart of the historic area - every destination we wanted was within walking distance. Also the staff were very helpful. They booked a tour for us that we were interested in and their concierge helped us to find a laundromat where we could wash a week's worth of clothes (one disappointment: a hotel like this should have its own coin laundry). They also gave us plenty of restaurant recommendations.
This is a high rise hotel without its own parking. We opted for valet parking at $20 a day - they use a city garage next door. We could have self parked there for $12 but without in-out privileges, so it seemed to make sense to use the valet. But as it turned out, we never touched the car during our stay since every place we visited or ate at was close to the hotel.
Two particular items we liked about the hotel. First, the breakfast was a bit above typical Holiday Inn Express standards, including some meat options that we don't usually see in this chain. And second, we really loved the design of the shower in our room. Instead of a tub, it was a tile stall the same size as a tub. This made it much easier and safer to use, with no fear of slipping or tripping getting in or out of the shower.
Highly recommend this particular hotel within the Holiday Inn Express chain if you plan to spend some time in the historic district of Savannah.
Awesome review!... We greatly appreciate it. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast bar, and that the staff was helpful in assisting you. Looking forward to your return. Have an outstanding day!
Great location on the corner of Bay Street and Abercorn Street with easy access to everything. There is a trolley/bus stop across Abercorn St. We had a nice room on the 6th floor without a view, but it was exceptionally quiet and spotlessly clean. Their cleaning staff is exceptional; friendly, courteous, and very efficient. The room had a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker tub/shower combo, single sink with plenty of counter/storage space, and a hair dryer. Would have been nice to have a laptop safe in the room for peace of mind, but it was not a deal breaker. We were there 7 nights, and they had plenty of drawer and closet space; appreciate the extra hangers.
The concierge was wonderful: she helped arrange some tours and airport transportation with a high degree of professional courtesy and just the right amount of friendliness.
The daily breakfast was good; gotta love those cinnamon rolls, and there was an egg dish, bacon/sausage, biscuits/gravy, fruit, assorted breads, yogurt, pancake machine, assorted juices and coffee available daily. There is also a bar for a night cap if you so desire. The breakfast staff was fantastic; special kudos to Armethia (hope I spelled that correctly). She provided outstanding professional and courteous service. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and friendly greeting each morning!
There was only one staff member upon initial check in who was a bit short with us; at first we were afraid to ask our additional questions. However, that was the only incident, and this hotel had overall exceptional service. We greatly enjoyed our stay here. Great value; highly recommend.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback, it is our obligation to provide each guest with a oustanding experience, we are looking forward to your return.
This was my second stay. The hotel is nicer than I expected and very convenient to business district and River Street. Parking is expensive ($20 night), but there is a deck next door if you prefer. My room had a shower but no tub but was otherwise perfect. Breakfast is included. Staff is friendly.
I'm so glad to hear you are a returning guest, upon your next return please call us and we will assure that you get a tub. Thanks you so much for your feedback and have an awesome day!
