We stayed for a fall weekend and could not have picked a better place. The staff was friendly from minute one - offering to walk out to our car to carry bags to the rooms. We brought our dog - paid a small fee - and were given a room in the lowest level where pets are allowed. These rooms had access to a back door for walking the dog. The breakfast was great, not to mention the snacks and wine throughout the day. The staff helped us with restaurants and things to do. They spread out the maps and started showing us all the wonderful things of the town. We walked to everything, never moving our car. We will defintely stay here again.

Wanting a place that was centrally located so we could walk, we chose the Foley House. Fantastic location in town by the way, we never moved our car. They have NO parking so be prepared to fight for a parking place on the street. The staff was terrific, super friendly and very accommodating. We saw the owner (we had to ask Gina if that was him) but he never introduced himself to us, nor to any guest that we saw. Our room and the bathroom were very spacious and clean at check-in. The bed was super comfortable. Although housekeeping cleaned our room each morning, they neglected to clean the toilet during our entire stay. We ran out of soap and shampoo (it was never replenished). One morning our dirty bathroom drinking glasses weren't replaced. The carpet under our bed was dusty, it's dark and it was obvious that it hadn't been vacuumed (because there isn't a bedskirt). Because of the height of the bed and the large post at the foot of the bed, the television was very difficult to see and you can't watch the TV from where the chairs are positioned. Breakfast was our biggest disappointment. There were always two choices. Our first morning was pancakes or eggs. We choose the eggs. The next few mornings both choices were only eggs which was disappointing because we would have ordered the pancakes the first morning if we had known eggs would be our only choice the next few mornings. The first morning we also had a small fresh fruit cup. The next few mornings, no fruit but a bisquit or muffin instead (which were dry and not that good). All of our breakfasts came with sausage (3 or 4 pieces of kielbasa), no bacon. Afternoon snacks and wine and cheese were a nice touch. The location is excellent and Gina and Jason were awesome. We'd probably stay here again but we'd also leave the option open to checking out another Inn too.

The Foley House Inn was the perfect romantic getaway for us. We arrived after hours and the hotel made arrangements for us to enter the building. They also provided us with a complimentary upgrade with a fireplace in our room. This was our first time ever doing a bed & breakfast. It was absolutely the BEST! The rooms looked exactly how they look on their web site. The staff made you feel right at home and Chef Ken's meals were to die for; mouthwatering. Everything is in walking distance and we even saw couples holding hands & walking late at night with no problem. My husband & I loved all the antique decor and the grand piano. I would recommend anyone to go. Heck we're planning our next getaway back to the Foley House.

Foley House Inn has an unbeatable location--central to everything. The exterior may not stand out in comparison to some of the flashier inns in the historic district but the interior is kept clean and quite nice. Having coffee and snacks available and offering an "evening hospitality" wine and hors d'oeuvres hour is another plus.

Our room was clean and well-furnished and we found the bed very comfortable. We liked the use of Aveda bath products very much although we both experienced a hot water shortage in the shower-- but then, it is an old building and many guests were probably using the water at the same time.

The television in our room was old and the picture was discolored in large blotches. Although ideally one does not stay in a B&B for the TV, it is a problem that probably should be addressed.

We found the staff knowledgeable and helpful for the most part, although a few staffers were somewhat brusque. The biggest surprise was the breakfast--we were thoroughly unimpressed both by the lack of variety and the food itself. The eggs were watery and undercooked, and the grits were so overbuttered that they proved impossible to eat. We decided to eat our breakfast out after that.

We arrived at the Foley House Inn on Christmas Eve and immediately felt welcome and comfortable. Regina, Shannon, and Chiquita went "above and beyond" to ensure our stay was romantic and fun. They helped us with dinner choices and reservations, a carriage tour, and directions to places we queried. Breakfasts were delectable, and the staff were entertaining and gregarious. We really can't give your outstanding establishment and staff the kudos they deserve. We are seriously considering another adventure in your lovely city and will definitely stay at the Foley House Inn again. Thank you so much for a delightful sojourn in Savannah!!

My wife and I were there over the MLK weekend. The house is in a great location - central to about everything in the historic district. Seems like we kept coming around to the house just as we needed to stop and unload or rest.

The staff was always around and very helpful. The breakfast was fresh and varied for the three meals we ate there.

Our room was large and well appointed (price-wise our room was in the middle). Had a nice large screen TV. We were directly beneath the dining room, so it was a little noisy in the AM on the days we had intended to sleep a little later.
