The Foley House Inn is a very nice Bed and Breakfast in Savannah, GA however it lacks the attention to details that would make it exceptional. It was a little disappointing for an Inn that is a Select Registry Inn. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were plush and of high quality. We were very pleased with our room.

The food was good, but not exceptional. The afternoon sweets and complimentary wine and appetizers were very nice, but breakfast was just average.

One of the big disappointments was that we weren't able to eat breakfast in the garden courtyard. The weather was beautiful but breakfast was only served outside once in our three day stay. The website stated that breakfast can be eaten outdoors, and there was even a flyer by the front door of the Inn that has a picture of people eating breakfast in the courtyard. When I inquired about why breakfast wasn't being served outside I was told that they didn't have enough guests staying at the Inn and that there was only one server who couldn't serve both inside and out. The server stated that it was the owners decision. This was an interesting statement because there were two servers working at the same time we were told that she was only one! If these staff and occupancy limitations prevent the use of the courtyard then this feature should not be used in the promotion.

Another problem was that when we returned to our room after it has been cleaned, the door was not locked. This happened each day our room was serviced. Luckily we didn't have anything missing from our room but it didn't leave us with a very secure feeling knowing that our belongings weren't being properly secured. Addtionally, the room amenities weren't replaced as needed. After two days we were down to using pieces of the little bars of soap because the amentities had not been replaced. I understand that unless the shampoo and conditioner are low they don't need replaced daily but they should be checked and there should always be an extra soap available because those little bars just don't last long. When after two days they were replaced, the Aveda lotion was "replaced" with a used, empty bottle. Yuck! It made me think the housekeeper was just carelessly moving amentities from one room to the next.

The staff was very nice and made us feel at home. Jason especially was a very gracious host and went out of his way to be helpful to everyone. When we returned to our room after going for dinner to celebrate our anniversary we found a card and box of chocolates in our room wishing us a happy anniversary. I know Jason was responsible for this and it was sincerely appreciated. Haley was also very knowledgeable about places to go and things to do in Savannah and helped us in planning our sightseeing.

In summary, Foley House Inn, is a nice bed and breakfast in a great location. We would definitely stay there again, however in comparison to other Bed and Breakfast Inns we have stayed at that are listed in the Select Registry, it did seem to lack some attention to those little things that make an Inn truly special. We never saw or met the owners and it seems from experiences that our most favorite Inns have had very hand-on Innkeepers and have not left the daily operation up to staff, no matter how good they are.

Just came back from a 4-night stay at Foley House (Bennington Room). We were greeted by Jason, and for the rest of our stay we were treated like honored guests and treasured family! If Jason hadn't yet anticipated our every need, he was quick to offer his services to please in every way. We can't say enough about his hospitality, graciousness, friendliness and warmth. He consistently went above and beyond to make our stay the best and most enjoyable!
Our room was clean, comfortable and very pretty. Breakfast was fine, with the most pleasant service. Location is great and walking distance to everything. My husband and I recommend this as the best B&B in Savannah! Jason is a gem!

The Foley House Inn was such a wonderful place to stay. It was romantic, elegant, clean, and held so much history. The Innkeepers were extremely helpful and kind - they made us feel right at home – and the location was perfect. My husband and I were very sad to leave such a beautiful inn in such a spectacular city. We have traveled all over the world and Savannah is one of our favorites. We highly recommend the Foley House Inn.

This was our second time in Savannah. Our first time we stayed at The Azalea Inn, which was wonderful, just too far from the riverfront. This trip we were with my sister and her husband, which was their first trip to Savannah. The Foley Inn was a wonderful experience for all of us. The staff was always helpful and accommodating. It has a very warm and comfortable feeling. We stayed in the garden level rooms. It was great having a private entrance out to the gardens. The only negative comments I would be able to make are that the gardens and some of the common area carpeting and entryways could have been maintained better. The breakfasts were good, but something a little more different other than the basic eggs, grits, pancakes and waffles would have been nice.

My wife and I booked a 3 night stay in this attractive B&B based on reviews in both TripAdvisor and a couple of well-written magazine travel articles. The advice couldn't have been better. This is an well-located inn on the quiet and lovely Savannah Chippewa Square. The central location made all of Savannah an easy walk. Coffee shops, late nite pubs and a unique local 24 hour boutique "convenience store" were steps away. Parking is street-side in the square, but the proprietors provide parking passes for $12 good for 48 hours at a time in any Savannah metered space. The excellent inn web site made room selection and booking easy. We chose the largest of the rooms, the Essex. The room was huge, the decor period-appropriate and attractive and the bedding, linens and bathroom excellent. We didn't realize it at booking (although room numbering should have made it obvious!) that this was a ground floor room with the added advantage of an adjacent street-side entrance. We didn't visit other rooms on higher floors, but limited-mobility travelers be warned - the townhomes comprising this inn are tall and the stairs are steep! The common rooms are very comfortable, with afternoon tea, evening wine and cheese and morning breakfast all delightful experiences. Nice variety of guests - we enjoyed a number of pleasant conversations. Staff was excellent (special kudos to the evening greeter and conceirge - Jason!) We highly recommend Foley House Inn to travelers interested in experiencing genuine Savannah hospitality. We hope to return!
