Outstanding from check in to check out! You meet lovely people in a warm and hospitable atmosphere. Cool drinks and sweets of the afternoon. Evening you are greeted with wine and snacks. Before turning in you are offered port wine. If you are traveling to Savannah this should be a stopping point!

Room Tip: Chose an upper level room if you don't want to hear guests moving aroung.

My husband and I just stayed here for 2 days. What a wonderful place to stay and the location can't be beat. We were walking distance to many attractions and great restaurants. What really stands out is the great hospitality we received during our stay. Before we arrived I got an e mail and phone call asking if we needed help with any reservations. While were there as well they checked in with us .The parlor had snacks and cold drinks during the day which was great to come back to in the afternoon with such hot weather. They also had cocktails and cheese in early evening. The breakfasts were delicious as well. The rooms were very spacious. We will for sure come back

Just back from a fantastic stay at the Hamilton-Turner Inn. We stayed for a Mother/Daughter weekend celebrating a birthday and it was certainly a special play to do so. We were greeted with a warm welcome into this cozy/inviting B&B.

The Inn has lovely treats and beverages out in the early afternoon, wine and champagne with /cheese/apps at pre-dinner time and port wine available after dinner. The setting for the aforementioned treats was in a cozy living room with plenty of seating. It provided for an inviting environment for guests to gather and meet as well.

There are NO elevators at this hotel given the age of the building. All entrances require stairs so keep that in mind for anyone that has difficulty with steps. Or room as on the 2nd floor which required 3 sets of steps.

We never had to wait for breakfast and the food was lovely. Scrambled eggs available at each meal along with yogurt, granola and fruit. Additionally in the living room was a coffee bar for quick service too.

The Inn was very quiet and safe (keys required at all exterior entrances) and located very close to the lovely St. John The Baptist Church. Parking was free but on-street. Street cleanings often require cars to be moved on various nights so be careful where you park (the Inn is careful to post notes about this). Given the business of the square where the Inn is located we still never had problems finding a spot to park. We did not use our car once while in town - we walked everywhere -- to shop, to dine and to tour mansions/museums. Most walks were 10 minutes or less.

We definitely recommend this Inn and look forward to returning soon.

Hamilton-Turner was perfect for our Girls Weekend! Quiet, great location, and fantastic amenities. Historic architecture buffs will also fall in love with both the interior and exterior design and details of the place. We stayed the the Flannery O’Conner Room in the Carriage House. There was a lovely living room space that was open to anyone in the Carriage House as well as a tv in the bedroom. The bathroom was fully updated with an amazing whirlpool tub. The room was and view from the room was beautiful, and the cookies we received with the turn down service were delicious. They also have the best breakfast I have ever had at a B&B. Stop into the parlor throughout the afternoon for fruit-infused water, wine, and snacks. Everything in the historic district was within walking distance, which made our trip a breeze! We are definitely returning!

Room Tip: First floor room had a small amount of noise from guests upstairs walking around, although they may...

I have always wanted to visit Savannah, so when I finally got around to it I wanted to stay someplace great. I read wonderful things about the Hamilton-Turner Inn on TripAdvisor and felt comfortable booking it for our stay. From the moment we arrived I knew I had made a great choice. Its historic legacy is immediately apparent, and once you enter you can see that the building has been continually upgraded while maintaining its past grandeur. We stayed in the Nathaniel Greene room, which had a perfectly sleep-inducing king-size bed as well as a small sitting area. A larger sitting area would have been nice, but there were so many places to go in town and such lovely other areas to sit inside the inn that it did not matter at all.

The people who work in the inn are warm and friendly, and the inn generously provides food and beverages throughout the day, starting with a very ample breakfast that can keep you going until dinner, followed by the most delicious sweets in the afternoon, and then good wine and snacks in the evening. As a vegetarian, the breakfast was a little disappointing on 2 of the mornings because there wasn't much left once they removed the items I couldn't eat, but when I commented about that on their feedback card, they actually got in touch with me personally to apologize and to offer me a complimentary night should I want to come back. I found that gesture to reflect the highest standards of care and concern for guests that one could want from any entity in the hospitality industry. If I have my way, I certainly will visit there again as it was a very delightful place.

The house was beautiful. High ceilings, beautiful wood work and doorways. It was beautifully decorated and the bedding and linens were top notch. Location is great, right beside the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Keep in mind this is a historical home and sounds do carry. We were awoken at 4:30 a.m. by the footsteps from the room overhead who were leaving to catch an early flight. Although I enjoyed the complimentary wine, my husband was disappointed that beer was not available even to purchase. Another shocker was considering the hot temperatures in Savannah, there was not an ice water pitcher to be found. Even the water bottles in your room you will find hot. Suggestion to the inn keeper would be to place an ice water dispenser in the front common room.

If you really want to get into the "feel" of historic Savannah, stay at the Hamilton-Turner. This beautifully restored mansion is elegant and comfortable, and the staff absolutely embody southern hospitality and graciousness. The location on Lafayette Square is not only beautiful and tranquil but convenient for walking around town to see the rest of the historic district. It's the details that really put the experience over the top, though: being greeted at the door with champagne, piano music playing softly on the bedside radio, homemade cookies and a sightseeing suggestion laying on your pillow at turndown and a delicious, gourmet breakfast every morning. We also adored the wine reception in the evenings which gave us a chance to meet other guests. We definitely hope to return!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Johnny Mercer room, which is on the ground floor, near the reception area. For thos...
