“Warm welcome and great location.”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in July of 2014. We were looking forward to visiting this old mansion with its great location next to the park.

We were in room 4 at the end of the hall on the first floor. The room featured a sitting area, great decor, and was spotless. Daily maid service did a fantastic job and the staff here was, for the most part, friendly and ready to fill any need.

A special thanks to Daphne, who greeted us when we arrived and took the time to recommend some things to do. She explained the particulars of the Inn, such as the key system and the unique window that serves as a door to the front porch (which she referred to as a "veranda").

The breakfast was on one day not very good and on the next delicious. Also, the manager in charge on our first morning at the Inn didn't seem like he wanted to be there. He seemed disengaged from his job and some of the details were missed; such as serving warm eggs for breakfast.

The breakfast on the second morning was much better and we also noticed that Daphne was once again "in charge", so that may have been the difference.

We would happily stay here again. We have also stayed at the Foley House in Savannah and I would give the Foley House a higher recommendation than Forsyth Park Inn, but just barely.

What an "awesome " stay. I can't say enough about this B & B, it's staff and location. What a gem among so many roughs. My first stay at a B & B, however I spent 34 years as an International Flight Attendant so I have spent many nights in hotels worldwide. This ranks among my favorites. Thanks to those that made this so enjoyable.

Room Tip: Room 5 is huge. We stayed in Room 9 and it was a nice size also, both face the Park and the street...

We had a wonderful time at the Forsyth Park Inn. The room we stayed in was spacious, airy, and lovely with our own private sunroom overlooking the courtyard. Breakfast was scrumptious. I recommend taking it on the porch overlooking the park. You reach it by stepping through specially designed large windows. The concierge service was wonderful. We even got a phone call with additional information to help us enjoy the day AFTER we'd already checked out.

We travelled with our 5 year old and she had a great time. Breakfast really good. Very friendly and extremely helpful. Arranged our trolley tour. Had great appetizers and desserts at night - all complimentary - delicious wine spritzers! Will def come back for another visit!

Room Tip: Cottage - great for families!

This B&B is so special. The beautiful porch overlooking Forsyth Park was amazing, I could have sat there all day. The room we stayed in was huge with views of the park. The inn keepers were so accommodating when I had to change our breakfast time to a later time due to my daughters orientation schedule at SCAD. I was happy there was street parking available and we never had a problem finding a place. We have been to Savannah many times and have stayed many places, but this place was a wonderful find. With our daughter going to school here I will definitely be staying here again.

This was our first stay at Forsyth Park Inn, although we have been to Savannah numerous times. We will definitely stay here again. The staff was great from the time we booked until we left. Our room (#3) was very spacious with a whirlpool tub. The rocking chair front porch was wonderful and a great place to have your breakfast (included and wonderfully prepared) or your afternoon beverage on a hot day. The view of the park was an added bonus. We enjoyed being out a little from the busyness of River Street, as it provided more relaxed, quiter stay. Very glad we decided to stay here and would recommend to anyone!

Amazing stay in the Cottage at the Forsyth Park Inn! The Inn was situated away from the bustle, just across from Forsyth Park. The staff was very gracious and welcoming, and we enjoyed the complimentary wine and hors d'ouevres, dessert and amazing specialty breakfasts out on the porch. What a treat! Maria and Duane were very helpful with suggestions on what to do, and places to visit. Thank you!

Room Tip: The cottage was ideal for our family of 3. A queen size room, coupled with a day bed with a pull out...
