Stayed here for business for two nights. This is a historic B&B, with the 200+year old wood floors, armours, etc... but yet has all the modern conveniences... Such as Safe in your room, flat screen tv, coffee maker, etc...
They provide a complimentary breakfast, which is nicer than most hotels (I travel for business & this has quite a selection vs the chain hotels), & they also provide a happy hour starting at 5 with cheese/crackers & wine...
The outside of the hotel has a New Orleans style look & is in a nice area. Close enough to walk to the river walk (where they have shops/restaurants by the water), and other parts of town.
The only draw back to the hotel is the rooms don't really provide much of a view. The front of the building has the best view, looking out at the street but their is a parking garage across the street, so not much to look at. Otherwise this hotel is really flawless.
Lastly the service is fantastic. Very helpful, knowledgeable, & friendly. I now understand what Southern Hospitality is all about! :)

Room Tip: Front of the hotel

A very well done restoration. Staff was very hospitable; breakfast was an above average complimentary buffet. Location is convenient. Beds supremely comfortable. Our room was small but quite sufficient for an overnight stay. Will stay again on our next trip to Savannah.

We recently celebrated our belated 5th wedding anniversary with a trip back to Savannah where we were married. We had stopped by the Marshall House for a peak inside during our honeymoon and really liked the location and feel of it and wanted to return. We were so happy with our stay at the Marshall House and it did not disappoint. It is located within a few blocks of the riverfront and near all attractions and within walking distance of everything in the historic district. The Marshall House was an excellent choice and very historic and quaint. It gave you the bigger feel of a hotel but the touches and décor felt like a bed and breakfast. Each morning they offered a very generous continental breakfast with a nice variety to get the morning started. Afternoons after walking around and touring historic Savannah the hotel offered pink lemonade everyday. Also during our stay they had a wine and cheese social hour which was a very nice addition.
The room was perfect and the bed was extremely comfortable. The ceiling fan and air conditioning was a welcome relief as the temperatures were in the 90's for the three days we were there. Also everyday we were provided with water bottles which was a nice touch. On the last day there after ferrying back and forth to the ice machine to keep the water cold I said to my husband the only complaint I would have would be a mini refrigerator would be nice and he opened the nightstand next to his side of the bed and said "like this one!" We didn't realize that there was a mini fridge until the day before we were leaving!!!
Thanks Marshall House staff for a memorable stay, we'll definitely be back.

Room Tip: Our room was on the second floor and we had very little noise during our stay.

My mother and I had a wonderful stay at the Marshall house! We could not get over the front desk staffs amazing customer service. They really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and offered places for us to go. Highly recommend!

We spend two nights here on our way to Florida. The room was very quaint. I loved the old south charm of the hotel. I researched the history of the hotel and was very surprised with the entire background. The hotel has been restored, the rooms are modern in necessity (showers etc). There is a breakfast buffet daily which was typical yet good. The hotel is located in an area that is being revitalized and everything is within walking distance. I would stay here again!

Room Tip: Third floor rooms were nice. Proximity to elevator was not an issue.
