Although the rooms are small (we got a Luxury King room), the beds are extremely comfy.

Warning: If you have vertigo problems, tell the staff when you make your reservation. The floor in our room was sloped, and I almost fell a couple of times. The building is very old, but I'm sure that some rooms may have floors that are easier than others to walk on.

The Marshall House is wonderful and the location is unbeatable. Their wonderful breakfast gets your day off to a great start. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. We enjoyed relaxing after a long day in the little bar next door. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Checked in on a Saturday and checked out on Tuesday. The only complaints are there is only city owned parking that has a fee and on Saturday night it was very noisy from buses stopping on the street below and noisy people on the street. The other nights were fine. We walked to and from the hotel to most places in the city.

Staying here right now. We love it: atmosphere is wonderful, an old buiding right in the middle of the historic distric. Great service. Good breakfast. Beautiful rooms (not big though, but old buildings are like that, no problem).
Parking is not free, though. Either 15$/day for valet parking or 10$/day in a public parking right behind the hotel.
Sunday - Thursday wine & cheese hour -- enjoyed it very much ;)

Stayed here for the 4th of July weekend. We loved this place!! All of the staff are great and really nice. Room was comfortable and so are the beds. Free breakfast was nice with lots of choices. The location was perfect..short walk to all the sights, River Street and Central Market. Beautifully renovated building. Highly recommend!!
