“There's no where better in Savannah!”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

This was our third trip to Savannah and the Planter's Inn and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The staff was always ready to assist us and the bellmen were extremely hospitable and knowledgeable. The room was comfortable, well cared for, and we love the turn down service. We really liked the room we stayed in on our second trip and requested it for this third trip. The management was kind enough to let us have it again. It was a wonder courtesy. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

For a recent two day getaway we chose The Planters Inn because of location and history. We were not disappointed. Our room was 5th floor facing the parking garage, which for us was not a problem as we spent a lot of time walking to the different squares and in and out of the shops. We experienced the view at street level. The room itself was cozy and quiet and for us a welcome change from the hotel chain ambiance. Breakfast was served 6am to 10am which was very convenient for sleeping a little later, and the food was excellent. At 5:30 each day wine and cheese is served in the lobby which turned out to be a cozy little get together of hotel guests who chose to participate. We enjoyed this very much.
We chose the valet parking for our vehicle and basically had them park it when we arrived and bring it to us again when we were leaving. Very convenient and well worth the $15.95 a day.
The Pink House restaurant next door to the hotel is an excellent place to eat, especially on day of arrival. Check-in is at 4pm so after a 5 hour travel day we were happy to zip next door for a wonderful dinner.
All of the staff we had dealings with at The Planters Inn were very helpful, friendly and courteous. I would definitely stay at The Planters Inn again.

My mother and I only stayed one night at the Planter's Inn during our trip through South Carolina, but we would have stayed longer without other plans. Our room was spacious, as was the sink area in the bathroom. It was dark and peaceful, even though it is next to a parking garage, we did not hear any cars going back and forth. They offer valet parking cheaper than the next-door garage. The service is impeccable. Everyone was so kind and helpful, offering everything needed before we even had to ask. There was a lovely late-afternoon set up arranged, with free cheese and wine and live piano music in the lobby. Everything was elegant in a casual way. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a place reasonably priced and wonderfully managed.

Once again I was lucky enough to visit Savannah and stay at he Planters Inn. It is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I am sure there are fancier, more upscale and more expensive hotels in Savannah but I don't know of any that can boast about having the nicest, most friendly and welcoming staff, as well as a facility that is second to none!! Our experience started with the friendly greeting from Tom who welcomed us and handled all our baggage as if we were his only concern on a hot Georgia afternoon. The entire staff strives to make sure every thing is perfect and all and any questions and concerns are addressed. The bellmen, breakfast bar staff, the housekeeping staff, the front desk staff and the concierge are all dedicated to making your stay unforgettable. Karen the concierge can make any reservation you might want and can advise you on any and all things to see and do in Savannah. She is invaluable to the Planters Inn. I really appreciate Matt, Bradley, Karen, Tom, Tasha and all the other employees. The amenities such as turn down service, ice delivered to your room, personal advice from employees about attractions and restaurants, the wine and cheese reception every afternoon, good breakfast bar and the welcoming attitude makes the Planters Inn a winner in my book. Once again, my trip to Savannah and my stay at the Planters Inn left me rested and satisfied with another successful vacation. I know I should try other hotels in Savannah but I just don't see giving up something you know is going to be a winner!! I highly recommend staying at this boutique hotel when you visit Savannah. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Rooms on the corner offer better views. Also the higher up you are the more you can see.

Stayed in a balcony room for our anniversary - our room was not cleaned the second day of our stay, we had to ask for more towels. Ordered room service for breakfast and it never came. Did not receive the level of service I read about in other reviews - will never stay here again.

The Planters Inn was centrally located and we walked to most places we wanted to see. The rooms were quiet, not a lot of moving space, though. Hidden fee for parking not mentioned when reserving room.

Room Tip: Remember that there is no free, close parking.

I enjoy staying at the Planters Inn everytime I am in Savannah for work. The staff is so friendly and accomodating which makes me not miss home. It's always wonderful to walk into a room that doesn't look like a hotel room and makes you relax the whole time you are in the room. It's close to everything, so there is no need to get the car from valet once it's parked. I highly recommend the Planters Inn to any and all!
