The hotel is located in a great spot; ALL the front desk persons as well as the parking attendants, the breakfast servers, and those who cleaned our room were very helpful and very friendly. Highly recommended.

You pretty much know what to expect at a Hampton Inn, however this one exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff was polite, always greeted us in the common areas, and the room was furnished a little more nicely than what we usually see at other HI's.

Location: the property is perfectly located on Bay St. In the Historic District within easy walking distance to all of the parks in the Historic District. The location is well worth the fee for valet parking.Breakfast: the room was larger than at other
HI's, and attractively appointed and there were 2 attendants who were helpful. The offerings were standard.

There are many restaurants close by.

We stayed here two weeks ago...my husband had terrible back pain and the staff treated him with extreme care and kindness. We also had ice bags for meds that had to be kept frozen. Carroll (not sure of the correct spelling) personally took me to the hotel's freezer in case she was not available the next day. The people who maintained the breakfast area were very helpful and pleasant. The room was very well appointed. We will return to this hotel.

We stayed here for a four day getaway in December and for the most part had a pain free visit. We had requested a riverside room. (told no problem, however Not honored) the room was fine and had learned that the smart way to drive (and park) in the savannah area was to purchase a city issued parking pass for the entire 4 days. Cost was $19.00 for the entire time, vs. $20.00 per day at the hotel with valet service. The city parking garage was across the street from the hotel. (Very handy) However one day at about 1pm the garage was closed (full) so we went ahead and valet parked. Of course our car was parked at the city owned garage as the hotel has blocked spots for the hotel. We only valet parked one night however our room bill charged us for two. They removed the extra night. The breakfast was ok; the girl in charge seemed to be very bored and didn’t care to replace missing items. I feel that this location could be so much more with a little fine tuning. I think that we’ll look into other hotels for our next visit to Savannah.

When I come to Savannah, I normally stay at a different hotel. Boy, did I luck out! Not like any Other Hampton Inn that I've stayed at, this place is fabulous. A very comfortable room, with all the amenities. Great (and FREE) internet, good breakfast, and restocked fruit, coffee, and tea all day. Easy access to Bay and River Streets. The reception staff are wonderful. If there's one drawback, it's that the beds are small -- fine for one person, but if you are traveling with a companion, you may want to ask for a room with a king-sized bed.

Don't get me wrong, the beds were very comfortable but a way too small for two people to share unless you're ten year old girls. The rooms were definitely large enough for two queens. Other than that the hotel was very nice and the staff very friendly and professional. I stayed in a very clean room with a view of the riverfront with my wife and two daughters aged 14 and 19 with two double beds. The breakfast was included and was just ok, nothing to brag about but adequate. I liked the location but was concerned about the busy road noise, however the soundproofing was great and wasn't disturbed by the noise.

Dear Hampton Guest:

Thank you for this wonderful feedback. I have great news for you concerning your issue with the size of the beds we currently have. We are in the process of moving to double queen sized beds. This has already been approved by ownership and we will be implementing them in the next few months. I hope you have the opportunity to visit us once they have been installed. Thank you mentioning our great staff and location that is second to none.
