“The Hampton Brand Delivers”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

Great staff... helpful and courteous. Certainly provided service with a smile and more. Super property that met all our needs. Extremely convenient location for pretty much all that Savannah offers. Efficient and thoughtful valet service. All in all, the Hampton brand delivered what the brand stands for!

We stayed for two nights and liked the charm and location of the property. But what stunned us was the customer service when we experienced a problem. On checkout, we left behind an envelope with four concert tickets. The director of housekeeping, Renee' called our housekeeper after she was off duty. The housekeeper remembered the tickets and admitted she had thrown them away, thinking they were used. Renee' then arranged with the general manager to have us reimbursed even without a receipt. This level of accountability was amazing. Wow! Luckily, we were able to have the tickets reprinted and enjoyed the concert, but this great service brought peace of mind and our loyalty. Thanks!

Dear Hampton Guest:

Thank you posting this amazing review! It is a pleasure to take care of the needs of our guests, and I am so happy we did so with your situation. I would like to extend my apologies for the inconvenience we caused you, though I am happy to hear that we have earned your loyalty as a result of how the staff handled the situation. Renee is an awesome Executive Housekeeper and an asset to our property, and the housekeeper who misidentified the tickets was our 'Employee of the Month' for February. They both work very hard at what they do! Thank you for recognizing their hard work and integrity, and we hope to see you soon!

This hotel is located in an ideal location, close to the water front and to close the famous squares. The room we were in ( a corner room with a king, microwave, refrig and a nice size bath) was a little better then most Hampton Inns I've stayed at. I thought the rates, including parking were high, but the location seems to be driving the price. I would use this hotel again. The staff was friendly and efficient. The concierge did a good job for us.

Room Tip: Chose a corner room away from the elevators

Dear Hampton Guest:

Thank you for your feedback! The room you had a Deluxe King with a view. It is one our premium rooms, and as you stated, it really adds to the overall experience at our property. The location of our property is second to none, and when you couple that with amazing service, you have found the perfect mix. Thank again for posting this wonderful review, and we hope to see you soon!

The concierge at the Hampton Inn - Hist. District helped make our stay. We were 6 ladies in our early 70s. Carol had an answer to all our questions and when she didn't, she called her 83 year old mother to see what she would recommend. We ate at The Old Pink House, I would recommend it highly. It is just around the corner from the Hampton. The complimentary breakfast is very good. The beds are super comfortable. There is shopping along River Street but would recommend exploring Broughton Street which has a great variety of shops.

This hotel is ideally located across from River St action, tour pick ups, and walking around the historic district. It is a typical Hampton--reliable and consistently clean and comfortable. The lobby at this location seemed to be a little more upscale with floor to ceiling windows all across the front watching Bay St traffic and walkers. A concierge is also available in the lobby throughout the day and is very helpful! It was a little chilly when we were there, but did go up to see the rooftop pool. It was nice with lounges and umbrella tables. An evening drink with the view would also have been nice, but it is locked at 10:00, so go before then.

Room Tip: We were there on St. Patrick's Day which is quite a celebration. Some had mentioned street nois...

I didn't stay here long but wished I had. The staff were very friendly, which is saying a lot for the day I stayed(St Patricks Day). They were all very nice, the view from the room was amazing. I plan to come to town another time for more of a tour experience so I plan to stay here again.

This Hampton is located in the perfect location to walk the historical Savannah. The concierges were very helpful in getting tickets to trolley and homes. We did not use our car for three days and walked everywhere. The lobby is very nice and the front desk staff is excellent.

The weather was cool and loved sitting in front of the fireplace after our long walks. The front desk also gave us bottle water as the local water is unique!

If you are looking for a good location and like the comfy Hampton bed this is it. We did have a room facing the street, while you can hear traffic, we turned on the vent, set the temperature to 68 and slept like babies. Their breakfast is the typical assortment, nothing special but nice.

If you are looking for location, this is it. The hotel was less than a five minute walk to our new all time favorite restaurant, Planters Tavern in the downstairs of the Pink House.
