I recently stayed at this hotel this weekend 10/5. The staff was very professional from check in to check out. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel wasn't to far from River street (15mins). Most hotels usually do a continental breakfast or full breakfast that would either serve waffles or grits. They served both it was a full breakfast with grits,oatmeal,cereal,eggs,sausage,fruit,muffin....etc. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The lady working the area was also very pleasant and asking was everything ok and making sure everyone was satisfied. Definitely southern hospitality!!

Nice room we were on the third floor with a fridge and microwave. Beds comfy. All was very clean. Yes the hallway does look 70's in style but we didn't mind as it reminds us of old america with the rooms being modern and fresh, what difference does the corridor make if your room is great? you only walk down it! staff were friendly and welcoming gave us good ideas and directions. very happy to chat. the staff often make the difference between a good stay and an excellent stay this was an excellent stay.

Pool looked a little dirty. the breakfast was great lots of choices, Ms Beverly was very nice and attentive, she made sure it was all stocked up, the evening free small meals were lovely especially the soups all made by Ms Beverly. The area to eat was a little old and dirty, this definitely needs updating and expanding in the hotels refurb.

felt safe in the hotel, good location not far from savannah downtown. plenty of parking available. i would stay here again. would have liked to have had longer in the hotel.

From the moment we walked in to the minute we left. We were greated with smiling faces. My birthday was in friday ans lynn at the front desk made me a goody bag. Made me feel special. I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

we thought by the reviews which were quite recent that this hotel would be all right, but it was worse then ever expected,the first room we had was smelling mouldy and was wet the second not much better....I will never stay there again! Hope Marriott does something about it....

Nice and clean place if that is what you are looking for with Great front desk service - Amanda went above and beyond in sending me materials before my visit, and in checking me in *****(5 out of 5)! No frigde was a dissapointment since I had juices and milk I wanted to keep cold. I did Like the convenience of being close to downtown (10 minutes) and Tybee Island (25 minutes). Basic room at a Good price for a couple of days is all I was looking for, and that is what I got! Thanks!

Overall just not a Marriott calibre property. We stay at Fairfield Inns every time we travel. This is a converted motel. The beds are not so comfy, rooms are small, no fridge/micro, you hear people stomping above you, a/c smells mildewy and nothing really works as it should. Free wifi was always down, elevator was broken, breakfast juice machine down...etc. On the up side, rooms were clean and staff was nice. If you just need a place to sleep, this would be fine.

We checked in and went to our . Really strange setup. Elevator in front of lobby and very claustrophobic 10 x10 storm room and more than one person at one time was very hard to manage. The staff was fine,and very courteous. This was not their fault. Took us awhile to find our room--odd numbers on one side of building and even numbers far away on other side. Then when we got to our room the bug spray smell was overwhelming. We immediately checked out. They are remodeling, but we do t see any hope for this old complex-- Ike the old days inn or holiday in of the '70s. Look like it hadn't been update since the 1970s.

Room Tip: There are no good rooms.

Our hotel is one of two, generation one Fairfield Inns in North America. So yes, our building structure and layout is dated. However we are undergoing renovations and we will shut down the hotel for three days in January to fully complete them. We are sure you will love us then!
