My wife and I stayed here during a trip to drive the Talimena Drive in OK and Arkansas. The rooms were very nice, very clean, very quiet... and in one word, just very enjoyable. The room rate was very nice and was a little less than most Hampton Inns. It is very nicely located just off 540 so that you can get around and back very easily. Just a great place to stay!

Heading to Florida for a business trip, we got a late start arriving in FS around midnight...Super nice, super clean and the beds were comfortable the check in staff was new and a little slow and could not find our HH membership but it was quickly taken care of by someone else,

We had 4 rooms on check in for over a week. Rooms all had a musty, old lady prefume smell that they used to cover up the smoking rooms.
The place is a complete Maze, multiple elevators, the lobby can be a short walk or a long drawn out trek to the desk. Had multiple key problems while there, which of course is always blamed on the guest.
Localtion is good as you are right on the main strip but there are better hotels further in if you don't want to have to drive into town.
Lobby area is very nice, girls at the front desk are good, you can keep the guys. Overall its a decent hotel but the rooms need updating badly and also need to remove the smokers rooms.

We spent one Saturday night, and was surprised to see a yellow tape around the front entrance. We thought it was closed but noticed cars in the parking lot and finally found our way into the building by following the directional signs they had all over the place. They were apparently doing renovation work in the front desk/lobby and breakfast area when we were there and the friendly lady who checked us in told us that it should be done in about a week - so any new guests should not have this problem soon.

It appears to be an older hotel, but I think the facility were still reasonably clean, and we did not have any problems when we got to our room on the 4th floor, which had the usual king-size bed we requested, clean towels, complimentary toiletries, etc, and a fridge and microwave. Our room was so quiet that we didn't think there was anybody staying in the hotel until we went for breakfast in the morning.

Breakfast items were the usual make-your-own hot waffles, cold cereals, fruits, etc. The building is behind a Starbucks, and is close to the interstate 530 exit. If we are in the area next time, we would stay here again.

I made a mistake by booking this hotel without reading the reviews. We had such good success with the quality of Hampton Inns during our 2 week vacation, I assumed this hotel would be of similar quality. It was not!!! There should have been a discount during the heavy construction of the lobby and breakfast area. The room quality was poor and needs to be updated. The bathrooms did not look particularly clean including the floors. Beware when you book the rooms you might end up with full size beds and not queen size beds. I was very disappointed. It was late so we decided to go ahead and stay. Would not be my choice to stay here again. The hostesses were very good with breakfast preparation. That is about the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel. I do not recommend.

Room Tip: choose another hotel!

Fortunately we have not had the experiences that some others have had with the rooms not being clean. I've probably stayed at this hotel at least a dozen times with my husband since he travels to Fort Smith a lot for work. The ladies down at the breakfast buffet are so friendly. They always make a point to come over and say hi to us and our baby and they keep the buffet clean and full of food. The rooms are nice but the beds are my favorite part. The location is great since you can walk to several different restaurants and Starbucks.

My husband and I booked a night on our cross country trip. First we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Springfield, Missouri and we were very impressed at how clean and friendly the hotel was. Then we got to the Fort Smith Hampton Inn. A huge difference....The bathroom was disgustingly dirty with a dirty toilet and hair on the floor. Also, the shower floor had not been cleaned in a long time. Since it was only one night, we made the best of it, but we were so turned off by the inconsistency.

Room Tip: No excuse for a dirty bathroom.
