Always enjoy the Residence Inns, This one was no exception, great front desk staff, friendly and informative. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Room was large and clean with jacuzzi out the front door.

This is an apartment-style hotel a few miles north of the PDX airport. Check-in was relatively efficient, although the door to the main reception area was locked. Leave your bags in the car, get your good keys, then drive to you room.

I was assigned a King studio suite. The rate was around $125. A two-story loft-style room was also available for $145. Breakfast was included in the rate from 630-930 a.m.

There was no available parking near the unit, so I parked far away and had to walk through the complex (there are a couple of pools and hot tubs). The unit was on the second floor, making it necessary to lug my bags up two flights of stairs.

The interior was clean; the unit was moderately furnished with a living-room setup, a 42-inch flat-screen television was viewable from both the couch and bed, a small dining table for two. The kitchen had a stove, fridge, double-sink, and dishwasher. The kitchen was outfitted with cooking utensils, plates, etc. I couldn't find the television remote control. There was free wifi and wired internet in the room.

For long-term stays, this arrangement could be good. The rate seemed a little high, however, for a hotel with few real amenities pretty far off the beaten path. Perhaps there are long-stay discounted rates.

Room Tip: Ask for a first floor room.

My wife and I essentially lived in RI loft suites for two years while on the road working and this was our first since those days several years past. We got this loft as an Gold Rewards upgrade from our booked studio so we were very pleased indeed. The location is very ideal for seeing Portland yet in a very dreamy spot tucked away in a quiet backwater of Vancouver. The reality of our room was somewhat disappointing due to minor electrical/plumbing issues we did not address given our short stay of 3 days and the worn, yet still serviceable living room furniture. This looked like a RI about to be re-done. That would be just great if the kept the loft configuration. Given its super locale we will return.

I was very impressed with the hotel. The grounds are well maintained and the service is excellent. We had an issue the first night w/ barking dogs in the room upstairs and my room was quickly changed w/o issue. The breakfast was very good but could use some more variety if your there for a week like I was. I stayed in a studio and it was designed perfectly with a kitchen and living room space. I would highly recommend this hotel as good jumping off point to see Oregon or Washington

We had 3 kids, including two teenagers with us. Not easy to find accomodations for 5. The front desk was kind on the phone, the pool area was nice, the floorplan for our 2 bedroom was terrific, ate dinner outsdie on picnic tables, and a very reasonable rate.

Visiting Portland with family of four to visit Zoo, OmSI, etc. Compared prices and amenities with options to stay in downtown Portland and decided the rates and what you get for the money would be much more economical in Vancouver. (higher rates for smaller rooms and $25 a night for parking in downtown Portland) Trade off is a 20 - 25 minute commute into town which for us was was not a problem. We were not disappointed! Stayed in a penthouse/loft with 2 king beds and 2 bathrooms. Loved the layout, space, pleasant decor, "condo" type atmosphere, and staff. Teenagers loved the loft area with their own king bed and bathroom. Room had 3 tv's and a nice kitchen. Beds could have been a little more comfortable as I have a finicky back, but most folks would find it adequate. Rate was very reasonable, room was very quiet, breakfast provided in the main lobby was surprisingly good (and yes, as another reviewer commented, a little hectic when families all swooped down at the same time) but the staff worked hard to keep everything stocked and ready to eat. Would definately stay here again if we are in the area. Extremely reasonable rates for what the room and hotel offered.

We arrived at this property being greeted by a highly professional and efficient staff. Our room was a 2 bedroom suite (824) which met and exceeded our expectations by all means. The room was spotless, the beds comfortable. Bathrooms were very clean and kitchen well equipped. I must mention the tennis/basketball courts, hot tubs, pool, laundry facilities were all incredible, clean and like new! The landscaping, location were perfect! This is a diamond in the rough as we never realized it was here during previous trips to this area. We will return again and again!
