“Mt. Hood is almost always visible from the top of the bridge.”

Want to get some exercise but don't want to disturb swift sidewalk traffic with your slower, leisurely pace. The land bridge is the place. There is ample parking at both ends of the bridge. The restored village outside the fort is available from the main path. If Mt. Hood isn't playing peek-a-boo with the clouds, and sometimes even then, it is visible from the crest of the bridge. A very enjoyable walk. Take your own water. No restroom facilities.

Easy to get to from Fort Vancouver. We walked across the bridge and then along the Columbia River. Nicely Landscaped.

Great walking area and a real homage to the area's Native Americans who used the area for years before and during the arriving Easterners. Fascinating design. You can walk from the Fort to the River using this bridge. Lots of native plantings along the bridge.

This is a bridge that connects the waterfront to the Fort Vancouver Historic site. What can really be said about a bridge with some interpretive signs. This bridge is only open for pedestrians or bikers. Watch out for the slickness of the boardwalk portion.

Park on 5th Street and walk out across the Fort Vancouver grounds and up over the bridge with pictures of historic Vancouver and interesting plants, then down to the Old Apple Tree. The walk over and back takes a couple of hours if you stop to look at everything. If you wish, you can park near the apple tree and walk in from that direction.
