“Great BBQ in the Portland/Vancouver area!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013

Don't go looking for ambiance at Daddy D's - it is in the corner of a Shell stations convenience store. What this restaurant lacks in atmosphere, it makes up in food. One word... delicious! I've been there three times recently and had excellent down-home southern BBQ. Try the ribs, brisket, pulled pork. It is very good and the owner serves you himself. Portions are good, prices are reasonable and you will leave feeling full... plan on taking some home. Daddy D's is the real thing - enjoy yourself and take some home.

“Best BBQ in Vancouver period!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 October 2013 via mobile

Excellent Southern Style BBQ. The owner was handed down the families secret BBQ sauce recipe from Louisiana and this is the real deal. Very down home hospitality. It's located inside a shell gas station. Came here because of the 4.5 star reviews on yelp. It did not disappoint. St Louis style ribs are KILLER!! I was only in town for a couple days and had to try it. When I'm back in town, this will be my first stop. The owner talked to my sister and I the whole time just like we were family. We were sitting at the counter eating.
Now if they would just get out of the gas station and into their own building they would grow the business like no other. 6 years is kind of a long time not to grab your own location. You would quadruple your business overnight.

“Best BBQ in Vancouver WA”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2013

The first concern to address is, yes it is inside of the Shell minimart gas station. My wife and I have also seen DQ, A&W, and McDonalds inside of minimarts so it's not that unusual. What is unusual is the quality and quantity of the food. We tried ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken. Everything was excellent with a good hint of smoke. The chicken, both leg and thigh were moist, a hard to accomplish task with BBQ. The collard greens were excellent with large chunks of the smoked pork, as were the baked beans. The cold slaw was fresh and cold. We also had two pieces of the sweet potato pie and would highly recommend that also. We had lots of leftovers with 2 three meat dinners, two sides each, and two pieces of pie, all for $40, including the WA 9% sales tax. It was recently rated the #4 BBQ restaurant in the Portland area. you won't be disappointed. It is worth a visit.
