Once again, locals here in Vancouver, WA just don't know any better. A lot of other comments about this place say that it is outstanding, it's NOT! There is no way that this place is a "gourmet delight" if you have dined in New York City, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Seattle, San Francisco, or Los Angeles like I have, and I'm not talking about 5 star restaurants here. More like 2 or 3 star ones. This one is a two star at best.
I start out at a new (to me) restaurant by ordering simple dishes, figuring that if they can get it right with the simple, then most likely the complex will be pretty good. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes for $17, really? Here, their meatloaf was plain old meatloaf that I can get in a dinner for under $12. My wife had their fish stew and it had only one shrimp in it (one) for $19. No bread comes with any of the meals, but you can a few slices for only $2 more. The food for the most part is fair to good, but the prices are high for what you get.
This restaurant is localed inside their parent hotel so you get to pay the higher prices for the convince of eating where you stay for the night. The service is good, as is the atmosphere, but I rather have a little better quality food to go with them for what they charge.
