So I was here for a conference and I have to say it was NOT a pleasant experience. Quick and dirty details: water leaking from the ceiling, no washcloths, no lunch service, no room service except breakfast and 5-8pm at night... breakfast buffet was not worth the price..... the hotel did not offer to comp my night of stay when the roof leaked!! Lounge service was terrible, 30 minutes for an appetizer... cookies stuffed into the chair crevices.... all in all a very bad experience.

Room Tip: I was told the suites were excellent

The staff is nice but the hotel is tired. You will always wait a while for the elevator, one elevator serves the whole hotel. The garage is small for the size of the hotel so expect to work to find a spot. The breakfast is adequate and the staff is nice, but there seems to be disorder in how it is run. Tables always need to be cleared and there is enough staff when the primary usage is the buffet. Rooms are fine and clean but the lack of TV channels could be improved.

Room Tip: Stay on a low floor or expect to wait often for the elevator. Many rooms have NO outside lighting.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent stay. Unfortunately the hotel does only have one elevator; we do have many rooms available first and second floor that you can choose to stay in when you visit again. In addition to the hotels main parking garage the hotel does have an additional parking lost adjacent to the main building, and perhaps we could have communicated that to you better. The hotel is in the process of upgrading its television channel selections, which should be in place by the first of next year. I will share your comments with the restaurant manager to insure that we provide a better experience for our future guests. Thank you again for allowing us the opportunity to continue to improve our product by sharing your experience with us.

I was here for a conference. Service was attentive. The location is very close to Boston.
We had a dinner on Saturday night. The food was excellent and exceeded expectations. The service at the dinner was great. Overall a nice and reasonable location for a conference.

I recently had to go to Boston on business, and I happened to coincide with the Charles River Regatta (and Boston U. Parents' Weekend), so most area hotels were either booked solid or (like this one) priced outrageously. I paid $259 for my Thursday night stay and... $389 for my Friday night stay (before taxes)!
For that, I got a room with a window to a panoramic view of the dark and gloomy internal hotel courtyard, so basically I had no window. If you enjoy the sun, ask for a room that faces out.
The room was standard. Meaning it had a comfy bed, a work area, a nice TV, and an OK bathroom. It was quiet at night, so that was good.
The hotel's facilities are also OK. Large lobby area, etc., looking rather outmoded with its older furniture and heavy carpeting.
Downstairs there's a scruffy looking meeting room, and there's a convenient garage ($21 per night charge) attached to the hotel.
All in all, this is a very good option, thanks to its location, if you are visiting students in BU/BC/Northeastern, and it's not too far from downtown Boston.
The key to making this a good stay is to try and get it for $150 per night, which would be right for the sort of hotel it is. Any more than that, and the value proposition stops working.

Room Tip: Some rooms face inward to the hotel lobby - those have no sunlight - try to get outward-facing rooms...

We value your candid feedback, which will allow us to improve the produce for future guests. Unfortunately the hotel does have some interior facing rooms, if I could suggest that the next time you visit your family to request an upgrade to our tower room, and request an exterior facing window. In addition to the area colleges we are only a short walk to Kenmore Square and Fenway Park, and the hotel is directly located on the "Green" line of the MBTA, which can take you to anywhere in the city of Boston and surrounding neighborhoods. Thank you again for allowing us the opportunity to continue to improve our product by sharing your experience with us.

We were in town visiting son for family weekend at WIT and hubby had cashed in his points and booked a room with a pull out couch for us along with our younger teen son. Turns out younger son has PSAT so he stayed home so it was just hubby and I. Good thing as we got bumped from the room we booked and our new room just had a king bed. It all worked out and we had a great view of Beacon St. We didn't arrive at the hotel until a little after 9pm so it really wasn't a long stay in the hotel and we didn't use any of the ammenities. But the bed was wonderful and soft and the shower and bathroom area were very clean. The room was very large and airy, we even had the window open most of the night so we could get the cool breeze. In the morning the maid knocked on our door at 9am to see if we wanted it cleaned! We were still in bed, she might have had the wrong room but we were a little surprised by that. The hotel waived the $25 parking fee another surprise, a good one;).
With our son going to WIT for the next 5 years I can see us staying here again in the future.

We are glad that, even you didn't have an opportunity to send much time in the hotel, you found the experience overall great. The staff prides themselves on providing a clean and comfortable room, and we are pleased we were able to succeed. We apologize for housekeeping knocking gone your door; I will share this with the housekeeping manager to insure we are not disrupting our guests. We look forward to seeing you in the future to visit your son. Thanks again for your comments.

We stayed here for 3 nights and were generally happy with what we got. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff, handy parking garage (@ $21 per night), clean and comfy room. Location is good, plenty of shops and eating options within a few blocks and there is a T stop right outside. The hotel is pretty big and the clientele seems to be pretty much everyone: families, business travelers, tour groups. Our only complaint is about the breakfast. Our booking included continental breakfast but the hotel charged us anyway. And the breakfast was nothing to write home about, the staff being less than helpful and a single toaster bearing the load of a lot of waiting folks.

We appreciate your kind works about the staff and hotel and it will be my pleasure to share those comments with them, although we fell short of your expectations with the breakfast experience, and for that I am truly disappointed. It is our goal is to insure that every guest has a wonderful experience with all of the hotels amenities, and will use this information to improve our product. In addition to the shops and restaurants near by, don’t forget the Red Sox, Boston Marathon, and in 2012 the Tall Ships will be returning in July. We hope to see you the next time you venture into the city, again thank you for sharing your experience with us!

We stayed here as part of a tour package. Room was large and comfortable but in the bathroom you had to step over the toilet to get in to the shower. The toilet was also very low, you could have been back at an infants school. I didn't particularly like there not being any outside windows. Our window faced on to a long corridor, so you needed to keep curtains shut. Still it was only for a night, and was clean. It bucketed down so we couldn't get out to find a restaurant so ate in the hotel. The food was good when we got it, but the poor waiter was rushed off his feet as lots of people made the same decision. He did a good job though. OK hotel for a stopover.
