Wanted to surprise my wife with a change from the usual chain hotel room so I booked The Loft room at Richard Johnston Inn.
This was our fist experience in a B&B and it will NOT be our last! The room was awesome! We loved the antiques throughout the room and house. The "modern" accommodations are tastefully done and just seem to "fit" into the house that dates back to the 1700s. The staff were very helpful and courteous and the included breakfast was great!
We loved the candy and homemade snacks to munch on throughout the day as well as having coffee/tea/water available too.
If you don't know Fredericksburg, the downtown area is full of shops, boutiques and antique stores; all of which are within a few blocks of the inn.
So, to sum up. The Richard Johnston Inn is a great place to stay; the staff are friendly and helpful and the location is perfect for those who want to be close to the "pulse" of downtown Fredericksburg.
