The food was much better than we thought it would be! It was fun and its all you can eat for one price. Free to get in-pay for the eating.

This is the North in a capsule...
park, museum, children playground, BBQ, convention center... M/V Nenana home, and Harding Car last depot
My recommendation is 2 hours
visit M/V Nenana old settlements maquets, eat some ice-creams, get old fashioned photo being changed as a gold miner or gun fighter, pan for gold (only in season or couple of seasons ago) and... go to "Below 40F" :) if still operating... aaa and get some souvenirs... birch or bone carved souvs :)

This is great for a casual stroll for those without kids, really nice with kids. Lots of activities for them to do outdoors. The train ride around the park was nice and relaxing at $3.00 per adult. There is one place called Bush Babies that was great. They have beautiful wood carvings, knives and jewelry. Ken (the owner) is a very friendly and kind guy. Just has a joy for life it was a pleasure to talk with him. Definitely pay him a visit and take a look at his offerings!

Pricey evening for buffet dinner and amateur local production. Booked through Princess, Would have enjoyed more at a lower price.

While in Fairbanks during March, I visited Pioneer Park almost daily to walk my dog. Throughout the month, several events and activities were going on in the park (job fair, pin swapping for the Arctic Games, a wedding, and square dancing, to name a few). The historical buildings are interesting and it was nice to see how the community utilizes the park.
