1) Free breakfast included - hot foods including scambled eggs, sausages (changes daily), waffle maker, fruit etc - it's a GOOD breakfast collection

2) Free choc chip cookies in the lobby as well as coffee, hot chocolate. This might be bad if you're like me and keep eating cookies.

3) Microwave and fridge in your room! Walmart is across the street, you can get microwavable dinners if you like! Good cheap options.

4) FREE pickup from the airport the hotel and back. Even more savings!

5) Friendly staff, they are all happy to help, I really loved the atmosphere here.

6) The room is very Clean, Nice, Comfortable and decently sized.

7) Good free wifi.

8) the only downside is it's away from the main town, for all the above I would stay here again though as the value you get for the price is amazing as few hotels offer the same free services for that price..

The Hampton is a very nice place and very friendly staff. The low rating comes from lack of sleep.
There was a birthday party for kids, so there were a few. That's ok. But unless you like to listen to kids running around in the hotel, up and down hallways, in and out the elevators, jumping on beds, until the wee hours in the morning, like 4 AM, this is not a place to go. Yes, this is a sign of non caring parents, but if you have to call the front desk numerous times ( along with many other guests ), and the situation is not handled, that is a loose for me. Kids or not, if you can't control your kids, you're out. Just look at how many repeat customers they just lost....
Kids activities are great ! Since they get to run and take over the place

Room Tip: Top floor if you don't want the ceiling to fall on you

weather was warm for Fairbanks...44 degrees at one point mid jan which is unusual. hotel very nice...plug in for car heater...sidewalks were as clean as they could be but interior of the hotel was very clean. room on bottom floor was perfect for me...single business traveler.....bfast was usual Hampton fair...waffle...some fruit...yogurt..bread...pastry.....hotel had private room for business center..which is nice...pool room was clean and exercise room was very large for a Hampton...staff were very nice....mcdonalds next door with walmart and fred meyer across street along with more resturants....but you have to drive across 4 lane highway...so car necessary at this hotel...

Friendly staff and a great location. They need more/better laundry facilities. Lack of laundry facilities is an issue if you plan to stay more than a couple days. Also they don't have quarters to sell you for the machines, I had to go to WalMart to get change. Housekeeping normally did good, but sometimes forgot to empty the rubbish. Also they did not pay a lot of attention to detail while making the bed. Great location. Easy to find.

Found the hotel to be very comfortable and a good and safe location. I was on a business trip and found it to meet all my needs. The free wi fi was a great help. It was a good quality for good value. Found the hotel to be very clean.

Stayed the last week of December 2013 as the hotel was recommended to me by my aurora guide, Ronn Murray. The previous reviewers are right - the hotel is nice, staff is friendly, and rooms are nicely designed and spacious. I had a room which faced away from the expressway, which was nice. My sole complaint is the location. I did not have a rental car and was spending over $100 per day (!) in Fairbanks on taxis. The air temp in Fairbanks was minus 45 during my stay and walking across the expressway to the Fred Meyer, Walmart, Barnes and Noble, etc would have been too difficult although it would not have been a problem at all during better weather. So for that reason alone, if you want to stay at a hotel closer to amenities, then I would probably choose the Holiday Inn Express, which is directly across the highway from the Hampton Inn. However, if you want a nice stay and have a car or are willing to pay for taxis, then I would choose the Hampton Inn.

Hampton Inn & Suites Fairbanks, Alaska, is a really nice hotel with excellent service and very friendly staffs. We stayed in King Bed Studio Suite (with Sofabed) and the room was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Fairbanks, Alaska.
