“Nice campus for a walk”

The campus is clean and nice for walking. The Museum of the North is interesting. Scenic views of the Alaska Range on clear days.

“Varied Aspects of Alaskan Life”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2014

This facility is located on the handsome modern campus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Displays cover the animals and people who have made Alaska home over the centuries, and their ways of existing in a harsh environment.

Displays are interesting to both children and adults. Two to three hours should be allowed for your visit.

“Decent rock wall at the rec center”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 January 2014

I went to UAF a bunch for their rock climbing wall. It's nothing to write home about, but it's better than nothing. It's $8 a person (if you're not a member) and the wall is good enough.

“Beautiful campus!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 October 2013

I mainly came to the UAF campus to visit the UAF Museum of the North, but I loved walking through the campus! There is a beautiful view where you can see many mountains (and Denali if it isn't cloudy, which it was on my visit). I asked some students for directions to various places and they were all very friendly and helpful. It is very easy to catch a bus there as well.

“University of Alaska, Fairbanks”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 October 2013

We liked the exhibits very much. The history of the native peoples, digging for gold and the Alaskan way of life. They had a huge bear (stuffed) inside the entrance which was amazing. The university is not far from the main drag & is easy to get to. In fact we toured the Creamers Wildlife sanctuary the same day. Loved watching all those Sand hill Cranes before they began their annual migration. We visited on a trip early August 2011.
