“Close to airport”
Reviewed 15 September 2012

I picked this motel because they had an airport shuttle and we arrived late. Had no problem checking in. The next morning we took the shuttle back to the airport to pick up the rental car. Then we went about our activities and stayed at a B&B the next 3 nites. Alpine charges $3 for a breakfast that doesn't have any hot food. Just hard boiled eggs and the normal starchy foods. We passed on that and ate some left over snacks from our flight. Map at the front desk turned out to be the best for Fairbanks (yellow map).

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback; we really appreciate it.
We are striving to continually improve our services and our guest rooms.
Although we do charge $3.00 for our Breakfast, we have the following items daily: Fruit, Breads for toasting, yogurt, Hot Cereal & Cold Cereal, Either Hard boiled eggs or scrambled, Biscuits and Gravy and we also just recently added Waffles. I hope that if you have lodging needs in the future, you will once again consider the Alpine Lodge. Thank you again for your feedback.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay. I am sorry you did not have a positive experience.
Regarding the transportation from the Alpine Lodge - we have a city transit bus stop here at the Lodge as well as taxi service that could transport you to/from hotel to wherever you'd like to go.
We are looking into the Jacuzzi room items that you described as we are continually striving to improve our service standards and maintenance to our guest rooms. Guest satisfaction is our number one concern.
If any of our guests give feedback during their stay, we have a 100% commitment to making their stay more enjoyable.
Once again, thank you for your feedback.

My room is very spacious and clean the front desk are very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast have a lot to choose from fresh fruits, biscuit and gravy, toast, cereal, muffin, fresh coffee, and eggs. Also the best part is the Wifi is faster than most chain hotel.

Room Tip: Save money in Rent a car airport tax by renting it next door I think it's National Rent a car.

I stayed here for 6 nights. It's the perfect hotel for an Alaskan adventure, because if you're doing Alaska the right way, you won't be spending much time in your room or at the hotel. Instead, you'll be experiencing the beauty of Alaska and using the hotel for comfortable, quiet place to sleep and that is EXACTLY what it was.

The Alpine Lodge is just a hotel, nothing special, but it is a great value with quiet, clean, comfy rooms and friendly staff. It is located in a very safe area and there is a river a few blocks away where you can take a relaxing stroll to after dinner, to wind down. There is a restaurant/bar on the premises that was never too crowded, had good service and good food with the exception of the chicken pasta primavera. Don't order it unless you like canned "Italian" food like Spaghetti-O's.

It is located right next to the airport and that was convenient, since my flight out left at 6 am. The ride to the airport was literally less than 1 minute and that's huge if you hate waking up early to catch a flight.

Spent the weekend, friendly people clean rooms. The contintal breakfas wasn't the greatest at three dollars per peson. We spent the weekend, friendly people clean rooms. The continual breakfast wasn't the greatest for three dollars per person. There wasn’t anyone attending the area, coffee, hot water pots were empty, had to go to front desk to get help. Overall a great place to stay and I would consider staying there again on our next trip to Fairbanks. Would had given it five star except for the cost and condition of the breakfast. Most place offer this service for free. No room service or pool available

My room was very clean and spacious. The staff was extremely helpful and aided me whenever I needed. Its conveniently located near the airport. Although the continental breakfast is not free, its not bad for the few dollars out costs. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

First room I had it was like an engine going from the aircon upstairs - not able to change till next day. Fairly non soundproof rooms. Fairly basic in all respects including plastic cutlery etc at breakfast

Room Tip: Check out the aircon noise first
