We took the Arctic Circle Drive tour. It was a very looonnnggg day on a tour bus, but so enjoyable we hardly noticed. Our tour guide/driver was very knowledgeable about Alaska history. The scenery along the Dalton Hwy was beautiful and we had many adventurous stops along the way. I was prepared for taking a nap on the way back, but the interesting videos our guide showed as well as the information he shared, kept me awake the entire ride!

I took the Winter Drive Tour that heads to Arctic Circle. It is a really loooong tour, but you will not notice it. The landscapes are just breathtaking and the tour guide, Robert, kept us entertained all the time! He told stories, shared some videos and answered people's questions. He is native from Fairbanks and know a lot about Alaska's historical and current situation. Even after 14 hours of tour, he stopped the bus for us to see the Aurora. I'd say that this is a must-do tour when in Alaska!

For a couple who do not normally take tours we found this one excellent. We took a bus trip up to Cold Foot where we stayed two nights and then a scenic flight back to Fairbanks. The service was excellent, drivers and pilot very nice and informative. However we took this trip to Cold Foot to see the northern lights and when we arrived we were told our chances of seeing the lights would improve dramatically if we took a night tome tour at $69 per head to Wiseman, a small village a short drive away. Having spent 3 weeks and a lot of money to get this far we felt compelled to take the tour. The next night we stayed at Cold Foot and also saw the lights from there?????

We had an amazing time with Northern Alaska Tour Company. Our guide Sarah who drove us from Fairbanks to the Arctic Circle and then Chris who took us on to Coldfoot and out every night to Wiseman were outstanding tour guides. They were extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. Compared with other companies we had small dealings with from Fairbanks these people are the stars.

Was fantastic trip. Drove up over arctic circle in a bus, stayed in coldfoot 3 nights, then flew back to fairbanks. Nightly trips for aurora watching available and a great day trip further north into brooks range. Coldfoot accommodation clean, warm and basic. Easy walk over to friendly truckstop for meals. A lot depended on the knowledge and efforts of some guides that went over and above: Chris and Sarah who were both brilliant.
