Great stay here at Coleen's yurt B! My boyfriend and I headed to Anchorage and Fairbanks in search of the Northern Lights. We were lucky to have seen them earlier in the week and ended our trip here at the Yurt. The location is right outside of Fairbanks. During winter, AWD is needed. The yurt is very spacious, clean and enjoyable. 3 bedroom areas (which includes a ladder to a loft), small living room area, and nice size kitchen with stove, refrigerator, and island to sit around. Cable and Wifi, washer and dryer, kitchen supplies and towels, and more are all in the yurt. There are also head lamps to use. The yurt is very cute and makes you feel like you are in Alaska. Thanks Coleen!
I wasn't sure that staying in yurt when it's -29 outside was a great idea, but it was! It was warm and cozy and the beds had big fluffy comforters and flannel sheets.
When we arrived after midnight, the yurt was light up and warm inside. It's so clean and it even smells nice (but not overwhelming).
Colleen was super helpful and it is SUCH a pretty place. We may not have seen the northern lights, but we enjoyed the time just hanging out together.
Cozy, yet spacious, secluded yet close enough to Fairbanks. Was a wonderful and relaxing stay! Amazing views! Colleen is the perfect hostess, available for anything at anytime! Could not have been more happy with the clean and well kept accommodations! Planning on a return trip already!
Colleen the owner of the yurt we stayed in was super nice and helpful and the yurt was so warm and comfortable. We even got to see the northern lights directly above the yurt!! We went to Chena Hot Springs and soaked in the beautiful warm waters as the snow fell. We also went into the amazing Ice House and had an Appletini from an ice martini glass while admiring the ice sculptures. Our last day was spent at the Run in Reindeer Ranch, where we got to walk with reindeer thru the forest. Such a magical time spent here! The roads were icy and snow was falling, but we had a good vehicle. Thanks so much Fairbanks!!
This yurt on the side of a mountain provided a perfect view of the Alaskan Mountain Range as well as the wildlife who came to eat right outside the cabin. This was our first time to stay in a yurt, and we were hooked. We were hoping to be able to see the sky and capture the Aurora Borealis, and we were totally satisfied. Colleen, the host had all of the necessities there for us. We wished that we could have stayed a whole week, but for the three days we were there, it was truly idyllic.
