Ginger's is a regular neighborhood bar, a favorite of the locals and also Brooklyn's gay women. The bartenders are friendly, the beer is reasonably priced, there's a pool table, a back patio that's open in warmer months, and a welcoming atmosphere. They have karaoke some days, although I've never been there for that, and also will serve up ginger flavored cocktails using a massive mason jar filled with pure alcohol and giant chunks of ginger root, although I haven't been brave enough to try those either. My only problem with Ginger's is the jukebox, which is one of those new digital machines that lean heavily towards the worst of top-40 pop music, but it's a small complaint when the rest of the bar is so awesome.
