Coney Island has a long history. It is getting back to it's hay day. Go to the beach in the morning and then spend the day riding and eating your way through Coney Island.

Visited to park as part of our day out to Coney. Spent most of the afternoon in the park and had great fun. Rather than buying a pass each we just bought the card which we could all use. It cost $100 but they topped it up to $140 so that was a great wee bonus. Whilst it didn't get us on everything it got us on everything we wanted to do, including the cyclone so well worth it. Good thing about the park is you can access it for free if your not riding any rides and have a look around.

My youngest son and I went out to Coney Island on the last day of our trip to NYC to see the Cyclone and its historical significance. He loves roller coasters and we wanted to give it a ride. Definitely would recommend buying the Luna Pass in advance online, as it saves you $20 per person. It was a nice time, as he and I always have fun together. The amusement park was kind of like a county fair by the beach. It was fun to eat at Nathan's and we had great weather. It's a 3-4 hour experience. We also rode the Subway out from Midtown Manhattan, the Broadway Express Q line takes about 50 minutes to get there, but it's only $3 each way. Glad we went but not sure if we'll go again.

My wife and I visited Coney Island at the end of a driving holiday around US amusement parks. We had visited on previous holidays but there were three roller coasters I hadn't ridden before. There is metered parking on some of the streets nearby and some paid parking areas within a short distance of Luna Park. We parked at the MCU Park Stadium close to the famous parachute tower...it was not cheap but was secure and close by. I only rode the three coasters that were new since my last visit...the three rides cost a total of $24. You can pay per ride or (if staying longer) can buy a wristband, but that wasn't worth it for our short stay. Luna Park includes the famous Cyclone coaster, arguably one of the most well-known roller coasters around. I didn't ride it on this occasion. Luna Park is right on the boardwalk with the beach next door.

The Luna park is such an exciting place to take kids. There are a ton of rides here since this amusement park is quite famous and popular. Kids will love it.
