Don't waste your time. Granted, I went on a chilly day in October, but there was nothing there worth buying. I expect a flea market to have move than just old used stuff. Maybe someone selling their funky hand made clothes, someone else selling tools...it was a waste of a morning and a subway ride.

We took in the flea on a Sunday morning on park slope and were pleasantly to find an interesting and varied array of stalls selling vintage clothes, art, collectors items, Americana and diverse bric-a-brac. It had a friendly buzz about it and prices were reasonable for New York, all with great views of Manhattan. Make sure you try the wares of the doughnut stall (I can certainly recommend the passionfruit). Plenty of other Food on offer too (but you might want to just snack and head to Smorgasburg for something substantial).

This was a great way to spend an afternoon! Lots of venders with old treasures to handmade jewelry and crafts. Festive, friendly atmosphere and rows of fabulous food booths which were worth a trip. Lots of ethnic foods and biggest concern was what to choose to eat.
Busy but not crowded will definitely go back #

As an "anti-collector" I usually can't stand flea markets like the one on 25th St in NYC.Here, however, merchants are willing to haggle, and seem to enjoy the experience itself. A lovely way to spend an afternoon, strolling around, talking about Proust or old 45's or comix with whoever you bump into. As a mother, I'm constantly finding useful items too, for less than a buck! And if you should have the pleasure of going, try to meet Paul Bianca. A talented artist, he has a running commentary that's as biting as Celine, funny as an Italian Woody Alan and as anti-social as R. Crumb.
