“Great Turkish food, nice owners”
Reviewed 22 October 2013 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

This is the type of small restaurant that we enjoy when we visit the City. The owner is very friendly, and food is very good. Try the baklava!

“Wonderful Turkish Cuisine in an Unexpected Setting”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

Three adults and a toddler hit this place slightly after its noon opening on Sunday. It looked like a rather ordinary diner in an unremarkable location, but the posted specials looked promising. The menu, while simple, featured familiar Turkish dishes at very reasonable prices. We ordered the red lentil soup only for the adults, which was a mistake because the toddler absolutely loved it and kept dipping her freshly made Turkish bread into it and saying "more" (the very friendly and helpful owner said that kids are some of his most enthusiastic customers). We next received the standard tomato and cucumber salad we'd ordered, along with a warm potato vegetable salad in a surprisingly piquant mustard dressing. The four of us shared two mixed grill (chicken, meatball, meatball-cheese, and lamb sausage) served on a bed of slightly dressed fresh lettuce and a grilled tomato -- and were very satisfied (I was particularly fond of the cheese meatballs and will order them alone next time). Since we did not have time for the Turkish coffee (the only menu item not offered "to go"), we will return there to try it later in the week. In fact, our local family will likely return frequently and we will look forward to doing so ourselves when we visit. This place was a great find.
