We dined here for the second time last night before attending a performance at BAM. In summer, we sat in their beautiful garden, sampling great food and intriguing wine flights. Last night, a cold January night, I ate Wild Florida Grouper with roasted cauliflower, and it was superb. My friends ordered the duck and lamb, which also tasted great. The bread pudding was great, too. And we walked to BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) in less than five minutes. We'll be back.

The basement setting doesn't welcome you in but the reputation took us into this pricey but good quality wine bare and eatery.
We had a few glasses of wine over a number of evenings during a fortnight visit to nearby Clinton Hill district.Wines are good, staff are really helpful and friendly, and when we didn't have the snacks the main meals were well cooked and good quality.
When visting the nearby BAM we were lucky enough to sit beside the celebrity performers having a snack before the event, a real treat.

This is one of the better restaurants in the neighborhood of BAM. We had a good, if expensive, bottle of burgundy, and venison, a salad, a pasta, and the food was quite good, the service very friendly and mostly attentive.

Love this place, terrific wine and food, only gripe is it can be expensive due to the small plates and wine flights.

Went to Stone Home Bar before attending a movie at BAM on a Friday. We were asked if we had a reservation, which we did not, but were given a table for two (the place was getting packed at around 7p) nonetheless. The bar had no air and was really stuffy, especially with more people arriving. It was very loud, although the music was barely heard. It seemed like there was only one server for the whole bar, so we had to wait for menus and then to order for a short while. But that was expected. The atmo at the bar was quite cozy, not a big place (so the tables are close to each other) but not uncomfortable. The selection of wine by the glass / bottle was good (ended up with a bottle of Cab Sav. $38?). The menu is not extensive but has a nice variety of cheeses (choice of 3 hard / soft for $12; includes Blue, Manchester, etc.) and meats (choice of 3 Charcuterie for $12; includes chorizo, smoked duck breast, etc.) and some traditional appetizers (like olives - $5) and dishes (like pasta - $13-15). The special was the avocado / lobster tartar ($14) I think. So, we ordered the special, and a cheese / meat platter (you can mix meat and cheeses for a total of 3 for $12). In total, we had a bottle of wine and 2 appz, which ran us around $85. I would not recommend this bar for dinner or a special occasion but for a quick pre-BAM bite it is not bad.
