After driving through the mountains on winding Route 152 and finding our way to the Lodge, we were delighted to discover such comfortable and serene accommodations. We stayed in the O'Keeffe room on the second floor of the main building. It was spacious and had wood floors and art-covered walls. On one end of the room were a bed, two nightstands, and an armoire and on the other end, a couch, armchair, and coffee table. We had a little balcony (actually really the rooftop) with a small table and chairs. This was a great place for observing birds by day and stars at night. We enjoyed hiking on one of the three trails on the property (formerly owned by the Nature Conservancy) and spotting deer roaming around on the grounds. The breakfasts were delicious, and the hosts (especially Jeff) most welcoming.
