This is a beautiful, secluded and peaceful place to stay. Darlene is a fantastic host. She is extremely responsive, a wealth of knowledge and keeps the place in top shape. The RV is set up perfectly for two! It is immaculate, comfortable and is equipped with everything you will need. After a day of hiking, I couldn't wait to get back to our cozy spot by the river and relax in the most comfortable lounge chairs while watching the Eagles and Hummingbirds. We would absolutely stay here again!!
Accommodations were great. Rv was immaculate. Site was secluded and very, very peaceful, which is what we were looking for. The trail to the river is short and the fishing was good enough to supply us with supper. Could have spent hours by the river, it was so relaxing and absolutely beautiful.
Darlene is great, a tremendous source of information. She goes out of her way to make sure your stay is an enjoyable one.
You are only a ten minute drive to the west entrance of West Glacier and a ten minute walk to the Huckleberry Patch in Hungry Horse; which is an absolute must.
This is our first time to stay in an RV and because we made this trip on last minute, we took the chance to experience it. Best choice ever! The place is very secluded, quiet, near river, close enough to town, very clean and it has everything you will need, Darlene is wonderful. She has the place spotless. I cooked in the RV every day and it has everything you need for either making inside meal or grill outside. It is close to the park, the famous Huckleberry pie store :), grocery store and other places you need while staying there. Glacier is hikers paradise! We hike 8 days and seen incredible views, glacier lakes, never ending mountains. wild life. By the RV Darlene had a scope set on a baby eagle and we watched him while he was learning to fly! Incredible experience all together. We have been to 11 national parks and Glacier is our #1 so far. We will definitely come back to this same place. Thank you Darlene for your hospitality. Many thanks, Crina & Mike
This was our first trip to Glacier, and we needed a kitchen. Perfect solution - rent an RV. The bed was very comfortable after long days of hiking and there was plenty of hot water. My husband took great delight in watching the eagle's nest across the river. Hummingbird feeder and a regular bird feeder outside the bay window was occupied often enough to provide quite a show. If we return to Glacier, we will be renting here again.
This was our first trip to Glacier and found this wonderful RV on Trip Advisor. It was a beautiful and peaceful retreat after a busy day of sightseeing and hiking. The location is quiet and scenic overlooking the river. We had everything needed including all cooking utensils, plates and cups, and even a gas grill. Darlene went out of her way to make us feel welcome and made sure we knew how to operate everything. Super convenient location with only a few miles to the West entrance to the park.
After driving up from Cody Wyoming it was a welcome site to pull into Darlene's little bit of heaven. She was so gracious and helpful on what was happening around Hungry Horse and surrounding area. She even joined us several times during our stay for a drink on the deck. It was so calming to sit and listen to the Flathead river roll on by and the birds and squirrels chirp and chatter. The RV was fully equipped with every thing we needed to make most of our lunches and dinners right there. Also her place was immaculate, We've stayed in a lot of VRBO'S but none as clean and stocked as Darlene's. We even met Webejammin, her pet parrot, that was an experience in it's self. We now consider Darlene a friend, if ever in Nebraska she's got a place to stay.
So glad I found this rental! It was truly perfect for my husband and I. The trailer is excellently maintained, and a perfect size for 2 people. Location could not have been better-- access to the river for sitting and dipping, getting to chat with rafting fishermen. Awesome morning coffee & breakfast outside with beautiful views and hummingbirds. Easy walk to town for ice cream, groceries, stuff; really quick drive into glacier park; easy drive to Whitefish and around to east side of glacier. All-around great experience.
