A had breakfast in two places in the West Glacier area. Eddie's was by far the best. The Veggie and Meat Scrambles were prepared to order and varied day to day based on the chef's choice. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Got a great hiking tip from one of the servers one morning.

Thank Bill H

Eddie's is a quaint old fashioned restaurant near the edgel of Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park. It has great trout and the young and enthusiastic staff are super. If you are looking for fancy, do not go. If you are looking for good basic food, seved up well and by friendly staff then this is the place for you. Top it off by being just a hop skip and jumpt for one of the more beautiful sights in Montana.

Over the last 8 years, we love to go to Glacier National Park, and when ready for a meal, we used to like going to Eddie's Cafe in Apgar Village. Eddie's use to have the greatest french fries and great wraps. Over the last two years, we noticed that the fries starting getting a little greaser, but, overall they still tasted good. Until now, we ate there yesterday, and had the worse grease fries ever. The french fries weren't even cooked all the way, they were soggy and very, very, greasy, as was the rest of the food, (hamburger and veggie sandwich). The french fires looked and tasted like they fry cooker was on too low of a heat, and by the time the timer went off, the fries had soaked up the grease, and weren't fully cooked. Too bad the "Chef" didn't pay the attention to see that the food was crap. We won't be going back. Too bad, it was a good place to eat. The prices have gone up too, for one hamburger and two sandwiches and 3 lemonades, the bill was over $50.00, all for greasy food too.

we had the Duncan McDonald Rueben sandwich with the pasta side and of course the homemade Huckleberry Lemonade......everything was amazing. I want to go back just for that same lunch again!

There is a to go window just outside if you do not want to go in and sit. I only had the homemade fried donuts and coffee to go but it was a sufficient morning snack. The coffee was not the best but the donuts were not too heavy which was nice. Once can purchase something quick from a little outside to-go window. There is a sit down restaurant which I did not eat in while here.
