“Just as good second time around!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2014

This was our second trip to Glacier and once again Silverwolf fit the bill perfectly for us. The cabins are clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fresh and more than we could eat each morning (so we took the extra muffin hiking with us!). Our only recommendation would be to replace the milk or juice even if some had been used. We didn't quite finish up the milk the first day, so they didn't give us a fresh bottle for day number two. Turns out we didn't have enough milk for our cereal the second day.

The location is a mere 5-7 minutes from the entrance to the Park which was perfect for what we had planned. Apgar, West Glacier and Columbia Falls offer plenty of places for dinner, so you never have to travel more than 15-20 minutes.

I would definitely recommend Silverwolf for any adults traveling to Glacier National Park. We've been there twice and will stay there when we come back.

The cabins are cozy but very peaceful. Good coffee and when we stayed a nice basket of muffins/snacks. Very clean and well maintained. It has been a few years since we stayed there but when we did we were very happy. Very short drive to Glacier. There are some railroad tracks about a mile away but only heard the trains when we really tried to hear them.

If you haven't booked your lodging for GNP and you do not have children (this is an adults only property), look no further! This is hands down your best choice for quality, privacy and value. It is extremely quiet and peaceful in this wooded property, even though it is conveniently located near Highway 2. We did not notice any road noise and we could barely hear the trains, even with windows open 24/7. The bathroom was modern ( a big plus in this area) and we had plenty of space to store our belongings. The cabin also has a table, microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker. Muffins, cereal, milk and juice are placed in your cabin each day, which makes a perfect quick breakfast, so you can hit the park trails at day break! There is also a laundromat just west on Highway 2, if you need it. We spent 5 nights here out of two weeks, and this was our favorite and most comfortable lodging -- even counting stays at the historic park lodges.

Room Tip: WIFI is spotty if your cabin in not near the office.

We loved Silverwolf and wish that all of the other places we've stayed on our trip were half as nice! As other reviewers have said, everything is clean and very well maintained. We interacted a bit with Jason, the owner, but spoke more to Janet who was super friendly and super helpful with all kinds of suggestions. We really enjoyed the way they did the continental breakfast -- leaving it in your chalet the day before so you could have breakfast at YOUR convenience which was perfect. The muffins were fantastic!

While nothing to do with Silverwolf, we suggest considering "take out" from the Glacier Grill and call ahead to save a great deal of time. Since there is a nice size table and chairs in each chalet along with chairs out on the porch, you can enjoy your meal much more at "home" rather than sitting and waiting in a restaurant.

We highly recommend Silverwolf and would stay there again in a flash! Thanks Jason & Janet especially!

Room Tip: Unfortunately, Silverwolf does not have any king beds, so we decided we'd prefer the one chalet...

My partner and I both enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are beautiful and the staff are very helpful including lending us bear spray for our hikes saving us $45. Its very quiet and only a short drive to the park.

We spent 4 nights at Silverwolf Log Chalet Resort in late July 2014. The cabin was very clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The log furnishings add to the charm. Silverwolf is located just 5 miles for the western entrance to Glacier National Park, so it could not be more convenient. The grounds are beautiful as well and the entire area is very quiet and peaceful. Silverwolf is also much less expensive than most of the hotels in Whitefish or Kalispell. I talked with Jason (the owner) a couple of times and he is very friendly and helpful. This is a perfect place to stay for couples.

Silverwolf Chalet was a wonderful place to stay during our vacation to Western Glacier Park. We loved the cabin. Everything was very clean, the bed (which was a King) was super comfortable and it was very quiet (except for an occasional train which did not bother us at all) Very friendly staff, and it was so nice to have breakfast in our cabin every morning which included muffins, cereal, juice, milk and coffee. It was one of the best parts of our vacation!
